This reeks of a bunch of adolescent males who have WAY TOO MUCH TIME on their hands, who created this tripe. However, what does it say about me, that I played this game in order to get the badge?.........................
Good game, but would be better with a "save" feature, since unless you're willing to sit all day and play, it isn't possible to complete the game. 2/5 for that. If it had a save feature, I'd give it a 5/5.
I think this is very good game. I like the bonuses of being able to "build a city" and get bonus items. Very clever, and well thought out! 5/5. Bejeweled clone? No, but it does remind me a bit of 7 Wonders of the World I & II.
I would like to make a suggestion that arrows be used to indicate that you can leave the screen you're in and go elsewhere. I had no idea that there were other parts of Castaway Beach, and arrows would have been quite helpful to let me know that I could move elsewhere, and that's where the sand snakes are located...
I've only just started this game yesterday, but I am really enjoying it. The only downfall for me is the movement by the arrow keys or the "WASD" keys. I'd really have an easier time if I could just use my mouse to click on a spot and have my character be able to walk there. The arrow keys are hard to get used to with the layout of the screen. I keep hitting the wrong key and move in a direction I don't want to go in. Please consider adding a "point and click" feature, and not just for attacking. Thanks. As for the pet dying before you can replenish his/her health, yeah, it's annoying, but that's why I make sure I've saved the game prior to attacking. If your health or your pet's health gets low, don't attack anything else, just return to camp and go to the Traveler's Den and "rest" for a "night" and then save your progress and return to attacking.
This is NOT a "medium" badge! This is an "IMPOSSIBLE" badge! The only way I seem to gain any decent altitude above a 74 is when I blow up, and since I have to touch the ground again in order to get the badge, my final altitude of 104 is rather moot. Who in Kongregate thought this badge up?! I've been playing on and off since late last night, and STILL haven't gotten the badge!
I have re-rated this game and reduced it down from 3/5 to 2/5. Why? Because of the latest "updates" to this game which have made it near impossible to keep a decent army, and still be able to upgrade buildings and donate ore to my galaxy. Way to mess up the game, Playmage! Thanks ever so much!
Also, a "repair all" option would be nice. It's frustrating to have to repeatedly click on the repair thing to see if I have fully fixed the ship, or if there's more that needs to be repaired.
There seems to be a bug/glitch in the game. Each "mission" promises a reward at its completion, yet the gold reward has yet to be given, and I've completed three missions so far. Please fix this bug. Other than that, this is a pretty good game. Although, the constant tilting of the camera downward, is really annoying. I'm tired of constantly holding down the "up" arrow, just to be able to see where I'm heading. Currently, I'd give this game a 4/5 because of the bugs and glitches.
Sheesh. OK, nevermind, I figured it out. I don't know why, but for whatever reason, after I vent my frustrations, I seem to be able to complete games. *sigh*
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried every frakking coordinates for the sailor, and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a point to this guy, or are all the coordinates useless?! I'm totally stuck now! I've killed the ginger girl, I've fought the gladiators, but now I'm stuck. What am I doing wrong?!?!?!?!?!
I have a suggestion to make. When accidentally clicking the "surrender" button, it would be nice to have a confirmation message pop up, like, "Are you sure you want to surrender?" because twice now, I've lost precious cargo by accidentally clicking that stupid button, thinking it was the "go" button, instead!" Otherwise, great game, and I give it a 5/5.
This was good, but I DEFINITELY prefer William and Sly 2. The graphics are better, and the keys don't stick NEARLY as much as they do in this game. Also, the flying ability is WAY better because you can actually FLY, not glide, and you can change directions while flying, etc. So, while I'd give that game a 5/5, I'm only giving this one a 3/5, because in addtion to everything else, as others have stated, the final boss is just WAY TOO FRUSTRATING!!!
I am mostly enjoying this game, BUT, one thing that gets EXTREMELY irritating is that the dwarf is VERY SLOW in responding to where you click, and sometimes you don't get a response at all. This really needs to be fixed. I would give this game a 5/5 if not for that fact, and it's SO irritating, that I can only give this game a 3/5. Also, it would be really nice if you could TURN OFF the sound and music!!! And as someone else said, it's not cool how the shops are only open at random times, and you have to take a chance and venture out every day to see if MAYBE they're open. Also, there are numerous spelling and grammar mistakes in the tutorial. Please fix that!
