a bit easy isnt it? i played level 1, 3 then 18 twice and beat it. .... my strategy of army development is: always buy the most expensive bird possible, first upgrade it with full shots, then with full power. if you got spare money left buy a bird that you can fully upgrade with this money. .... so to speak it out: start with a duck, buy full shots then full power. next is an eagle .... whenh you want to upgrade the parrot fully, dont have enough money left but it still 100, then buy another eagle (which can be fully upgraded for 100). etc. .... i didnt use any traps.
this game just sucks. controls are crappy. just run and jump? thats all? no hang, climbe, fight, etc ...? err, but there are much better games of this genre.
green guy should have a field of view too and for example cry for help if he spots me. the guards should search more intelligentely. after alarm was set of once, guards should not go back to normal mode. after a certain time reinforcements for guards should appear. exit should not be anywhere on map but in a distinct location so escape can be planned. needs possibility to stun target, remove it from the corridors and kill it out of sight.
ah, day 58 on normal mode, i forgot to party in my level 7 villa and now i am stuck, although i hired henchmen, .... shit. i think i got to do it all over again.
ah yes and the museum upgrade lev1 brings around 10 GP for every medal. the first museum upgrade pays off. 2nd one - i don't think so. special trainer and villa is useless. try to eat each day instead and buy the trainer to level 3 soon. basically invest in stuff that pays off later (like house, trainer, looter). and buy sisters, a lot. they will save your ass from day 40 on. and claim the titles as soon as they are available. let your party members focus on party skills.
on casual mode i made it to day 40+ with a sniper, militia, rogue and sheriff. on day 2 or so i found a lev3 bowgun, which basically helped me until day 15. from day 30 my sniper did not level anymore 'cause the party kills everything before i can. the militia is level 47 and my sniper is 41. the combo of characters is good to facilitate all sort of weapons i find (rifle, small/big gun and shotgun). militia kills, rogue brings money and party skill negotiator, sheriff cleans up everything the militia missed and brings party skill leadership.
when you fixed the basics i would start with a multi-screen quest, where the char can level up the first time at the end of the quest. so the user sees how the system works. also implement the code for multiple screens and for a sliding screen. eg if you walk the landscape the screen would slide, if you enter a house or cave the screen would change.
