The music is amazing. Especially the Twisted Void. :O I sometimes leave this game on in the background while writing programming code, just to listen to the music while I work.
You're quite talented at level designing. :) As for the rest of the game, it's "basic". Good, but basic. You obviously have a future at this game design stuff; what you need to do is start pushing your limits a little. I for one would have added a lot more game elements to this; give the characters different abilities, add new things to the levels, etcetera. And again, level design is probably your best quality. 4 out of 5 for this game; well done, bro.
I've always found Cthulhu and the other Old Ones to be such amazing, fascinating and majestic creatures, and have taken comfort and a feeling of safety to imagine myself captive in their embrace. ...Should I be worried?
Who here can kill the Orc Warlord boss (the first one in the game) in a 3x combo with the two Shamen in one hit? That's worth freakin' 3000+ Exp! :D It felt AWESOME.
Day #140: Impossible Mode, Huge City completed (via Attack Last Judgement), 50 survivors, 78 blocks secured, and only 3 deaths. Jesus Christ, I was FLYING at the beginning; you kinda have to be lucky, but more than that you have to not be afraid to spread yourself a little thin. You need to turbo-rescue survivors even if you're at like -10 Food per turn, and rely on Scavenging to get food and loads of Equipment Items that boost stats en masse. It was a workout, but I finally did it, and I hope others find my advice useful. :)
(to Arus51) Yeah, but you're not gonna get every single survivor. There will be plenty of other (possibly better) chances, so it's best to just take the Suburbs and sacrifice those survivors, and continue progressing as quickly as possible. Don't worry too much about it. ^^
Beautiful game, just like Rebuild 1. :) I like some of the new features, especially the Skill-building feature; I agree that Rebuild 1 was more "hardcore" with the Job system instead of this, so I'd probably play that if I wanted to play seriously and this if I wanted to play casually. :) What I found annoying was all the Dead Rising sponsoring stamped all over this game-- seriously it's worse than Kred-farming games on this site. :P Still that's only a minor gripe. 5 stars and fav'd. :)
(to Warhawk) That sucks. What rewards are you using? I almost always carry Sprint in my set because it's the most versatile of all the rewards. Another tip: the Inhibitor has a longer recharge time than the Lure or the Repulsor, and the Turret Box has a longer recharge time than the Grenade or the Saw Drone. Decide carefully.
New High Score (Bounty Mode - Slow) : 10,457 points. Powerup Set was Sprint / Queensword. What killed me at long last was me taking a swing at the vulnerable Torchie a MOMENT too late as it caught fire again. Ah well, I'm still glowing with pride and satisfaction for beating my prior best score by over 3k.
You have to be damn lucky to win the 1st-Level Boss on Extreme Difficulty. x_x 'Course it doesn't help that I don't use a Cleric OR a Conjuror in my party, probably...
(to RitzBeastly) Yes, I found it radically more difficult to do Ragnarok with just one Grail instead of two. x_x Doable, though. You kinda have to be lucky with all the rare items to show up just right.
Wow, I made it to Day 51 playing the Militia class. o_o Never would've thought, but that seems to be my best class, even though the Rogue is more fun to play. (The Assault Rifle is probably my favorite weapon in the game, and the Rocket Launcher's a close second :3 EVERYTHING is better with explosions.)
:( Why do people complain about this game? It's OKAY if it's a grind-heavy game. If I want to do a lot of strategy and thinking, GemCraft Labyrinth just came out recently too. If I want to relax with something stress-free, I play this instead. I actually have fun thinking up backstories for the characters in my roster ^_^ Also, "Snakes on a Plain" is damn genius, I laughed so hard the first time I saw that X'DDD
Whoa whoa whoa new GemCraft game!? *loads* ...Huh? A Premium Mode where you have to pay for features? GOOD THING I BOUGHT ALL THOSE KREDS A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. *buys Premium Mode before even clicking New Game for the first time ever* :D :D :D
God I love this game. :') It's simplistic, short, but OH MY GOD I just keep coming back to it... It's very hypnotic, very zen, but thrilling at the same time, and the graphical style is one of my favorites ever-- also Turbo Mode just makes my MIND shatter, it's so brilliant :D Five stars and favorited, because this game was built with me and my abstract brain in mind~
"We're sad because two of our best childhood friends were devoured bloodily by hellish undead creatures from our darkest nightmares last night. Maybe we'll feel twice as happy without them as we did when they were alive if we go to a drinking party at the Bar!" XDDD Gotta love video game mechanics, amirite? (Excellent game btw)
Alright, how do you get the medal on the bottom row right next to "Blacksmith"? Someone posted about all the mystery medals but it's still not clear to me x_x
Right at about the 14,000 point mark, it stopped being a "metaphor" for me and I felt like I was playing Gradius without a gun. o_o Epic shit right there. (My highest score at the moment is 16,000 or so. Not chasing the badges or anything, just trying to score as best I can.)
