(to Jukantos) Well, that would indeed imply you don't know how to handle the Sniper, then! :P Not even half this game is about the battle itself. The true game is about resource management, and just like in battle, you'll play your resources differently for every Class. If you can't get your party, equipment, and income up to the required prowess in time for Day 11 as the Sniper, that means you're doing something wrong as the Sniper. In which case, you should practice, read up on the forums, practice, and... don't forget practice. ^_^
(to Jukantos) The Sniper Class is an advanced class that's difficult to play, not recommended for beginners. If you like Rifles, try the Hunter Class, also the Sheriff Class uses Shotguns which plays similar to the Rifle (you do better close-range and the Rifle does better far-range, so the Shotgun is more forgiving), and both are great beginner's choices. Militia is not recommended, she is the most difficult out of the four starting classes, and Rogue can be a little tricky, but she's by far the best at making money, so if you play Rogue and get a full four-member party ASAP you should do well too. :) Don't pick the Advanced Classes until you've mastered basic and intermediate gameplay with the Basic Classes (try to go to at least past Day 40, try to get to 50 if you can).
16 days. Good GOD. I'm shaking. My fuel tank was flashing by the time I finally made it-- I had Max Fuel Tank but only Level 4 Rockets, and NO ARMOR (I managed the Ace III bonus on the way up though :D). ...But, I'm afraid I'm not a true pro unless I can get it in 15 or lower-- that is, without the Experienced bonus you get at the 15-day mark. Guess that'll be my next goal... sheesh... O.o
Oh my God and the Medal comment is HILARIOUS... "You survived Ragnarok. .....Just, unbelievable." STARTING LUCK +1 ...The reward isn't epically fancy it looks like, but BY GOD the satisfaction is UNBEATABLE HOO YEEEAH <3
I've never played a Danmaku in my life until I played this game; I found it a pretty excellent introduction to the genre, and I think the author did a BEAUTIFUL job programming all the bullet geometric functions! (I kept saying to myself "Ahaha I see how he did this, nice" XD) Five stars. Also, Intense mode was finally what brought me down; I got up to I think... stage 3 or 4 on Level Set 3 and the boss killed me. I felt challenged and thrilled, and I only have the greatest compliments of all for any game that has that effect on me. Five stars forever. :3
Improved my record: 21 DAYS. I'm going to keep improving, too; I would've easily been able to make this in 18 days, but I crashed early one time due to mis-compensating the distance for one Turbo Gate, and failing at Greed III twice when I was specifically chasing it.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING~
My score for game completion is 25 days. Level 3 Hull, Level 5 Fins and Boosters, Maxed Fuel Tank, Engine and all upgrades except Lightning Res (lv9 out of 10). Collected every Achievement except Veteran, Earth Defender and Expensive III. Anyone feel like trying to trump my score? Or has anyone done so already? ^^ Anyway it's an absolutely BEAUTIFUL game. I especially love the graphics... They remind me of something nostalgic. :o
This game was really hard and took some figuring out, but I finally beat it with a time of about 45 minutes-- and damn, I'm pretty proud of unwittingly earning the Underwater Spiked Tunnel achievement for not taking damage! Was total coincidence, and it really made my day :D Great game, I'd give it a 4 of 5... The first one is still the best, and Robot Wants Ice Cream is also better than this, but this is waaay better than Robot Wants Puppy (which was the most annoying in the series). Oh, and the boss fights in this one were FANTASTIC, especially Drillbaby. :D
Someone here had a problem getting the "And Beyond" trophy? That's right, your machine breaks down before it hits that mark. USE A NITRO. Your machine won't ever break down mid-nitro, only after it wears off, so if you approach the Danger Point and then Nitro right past it just in time you should be able to snag the trophy. .... I finally got the 30-Point Badge today by unlocking the best ending, and yes, you're gonna want EVERY TROPHY. Also I had my machine Fully Upgraded at 8 weeks remaining. Speed is a factor here-- anyone remember the game Pikmin? Fooling around will cost you big (no pun intended).
This is one of the best Vanilla RPGs I have ever played in my life. :') The SHEER CREATIVITY displayed in this work of art, along with the deceivingly complex-ness of the game-world, not to mention unlockable Achievements to tickle any gaming-fanatic's fancy in all sorts of ways. The humor and, moreso, pop-culture references (OMG GURREN LAGANN IN WORLD FOUR HOLY SHIT I CHEERED WHEN I SAW THAT), are so completely over the top that you're often left shaking your head and laughing-- I literally was left in a helpless fit of uncontrollable cackling when I dropped Lance's first Supermove and he shouted "WRYYYYYYY~", for five straight minutes, before I could resume the game. :'D The ONLY gripe I have is some of the music; some of it is downright amazing, whereas other times it is either monotonous or sometimes just painful (for example, the Normal Boss music sounds like iron sandpaper on a chalkboard). This game is absolutely genius, yet still simple an fun! DEFINITELY five'd. :D
