It would be nice if you could use specials when opening chests. Like the Thief's just to make sure you get gold, the Soldier's to be certain you get all the blues, or the Wizard's healing thing while you have the chance to use it on something that isn't trying to kill you and doesn't waste an attack if there's nothing it could hit. I mean you can use the extra turn items, so why not that?
In a game with as slow gold gains as this, there should not be a monster whose sole purpose is to STEAL GOLD. Unless you were to get that gold back after killing it. Until then, there's little more rage inducing than finding one in the back row that attacks every turn.
Saws are the best spell and I'm going to tell you why. 1)They're cheap. 1 mp bar per cast and you get more with the spells you buy. 2)They kill bosses like it's going out of style. Other spells? Not even a little damage on bosses. 3)They kill EVERYTHING. 4 points of 360 degrees of death, anything close by gets shredded without waiting for each individual one to be targeted (looking at you, Justice For All). 4)Remember that mention of 360 degrees of death? You kill things above you, behind you, below you, and in front of you at the same time. 5)They're Buzzsaws.
1. There IS a mute, it's in Config. 2. It would be nice if there was a way to see what your upgrades changed. Like how much does Attack change damage at your current upgrade level, since the weapon only shows the base Attack it has. Plus what does Weapon proficiency do?
Everything here is slow. Animation, gameplay, movement, gold and experience gains, even the "Locked door" spaces only serve to draw out the level since the method to unlock is "Fight your way to the switch/button and get a snack as the animation plays."
From experience, I'm forced to assume the lucky "random hero" to be Ensnared is whichever one has the highest matching set of blocks for whatever you're fighting.
This needs either a better hitbox or a star-magnet, because everything seems to spawn in a perfect tunnel around the plane. It's wonderful using all your fuel to reach $25, with a crane bonus.
I think the sole purpose of Totem orcs is to obliterate most of your army from the other side of the map. Maybe I should have bought wizard instead of focusing on my archers and tower.
By itself as the only window open, this game lags everything into an unplayable quagmire of a mess. I can barely go 15 seconds without getting an unresponsive script message. I did manage to get one kill through excessive patience in maneuvering a barely responsive cursor. In short, don't even bother opening this game.
Anyone else mostly use the leap attack for travel purposes? Especially when you have a horde of trolls under your control and it's easier to go over them instead of around or through.
New favorite thing to do: Line up as many targets as possible to poison arrow a crowd. It can and will turn a horde of zombies into an indiscriminate mosh-pit and buy you time to do whatever.
TFW you get a 27 second doom run because you went downhill too fast and ended up getting airtime. Twice. I keep flipping between standing and waiting for the wall to catch up & running all-out because it decided to take up 75% of the screen while there's a stegosaurus on a hill somewhere in there.
!. My searchers are garbage. 80% chance for good loot & Radio Beacon bonus in a place with survivors and two other gun types, and I find a pack of smokes. Or the usual cases when it's 2 useless moral boosts at the cost of my "good" searchers.
2. I REALLY wish I could give the guns I don't use to my shooters for a bonus depending on the gun type. Faster shooting rate, more accuracy, more people shooting at once, etc.
The hardest part about getting a gold scarab is dragging the level out long enough to hit the coin amount. Maybe if you got bonus gold from the amount of remaining life you have at the end.
I think the best use of MJ is to buy a little more time to collect money before the level ends, especially late-game. The extra zombies are a mild bonus.
