On the one hand, it is very pretty, on the other hand, boring. While it is impressive for something developed in 3 days, Kongregates contest has no time limit, so it would be VERY inappropriate to adjust the score based on how long the game took to make. I suspect it did well in whatever competition that had the 72 hour limit, though.
Maybe some sort of auto-build system would be good. The pausing every 3/4 of a second breaks up the action WAY to much and is, frankly, giving me a headache.
On the one hand, I do not mind paying a reasonable price for a full version of a game. $5 is very reasonable for this and I applaud "gamesinabottle" for not trying to make it more. (I wouldn't have paid say $10 myself...) However, with so many developers putting everything into winning the Kongregate contest, I can't give full marks to a "Pay for full" game even if it is this good. Just wouldn't be fair.
"Dungeon of Loot is now offline
Due to hosting problems that would force Dungeon of Loot to be hosted on a dedicated and more expensive server we are sorry to announce that Dungeon of Loot is currently offline.
The lack of success of Dungeon of Loot is preventing us from making further financial investments in the game so the game won't be available until further notice.
Thanks to those who supported the game and we hope that one day we might be able to bring it back to life." Still = 1 Star...
