Also, no quit function. Can't even find a pause button. Game feels incomplete, despite the nice artwork. The author has no business complaining about a 3 star rating. I think that's a little high for something unfinished myself.
Serious observation for the author: Flying units are immune to melee heroes, and they are on nearly every map. There does not seem to be any other common unit type similar to this. Absorbers are essentially immune to an element, but they are relatively rare. My point is, I have stopped having heroes with melee attacks altogether and I'd wager I'm not the only one. Game balance suggests that either flying units should be downgraded a bit (maybe a 50% miss chance instead of total immunity) or similar unit types exist for magic and ranged character types. Anyway, I'm a fan of the series and can't wait to see the next one, I haven't seen much added to 4.5 but it's still fun. TTFN
So... where's the final upgrade? I've bought every upgrade on the grid, have at least one of each weapon and have filled in all the squares around my ship. (Real Estate Medal.) Still, no 100 percent upgrade medal. ???
Actually the turret upgrade I'd like to see is retargeting... As always, putting active buttons over active play area turns out to be a bad idea. Why Seonr decided on "Unity" over "Flash" for this I'm not sure. Overall, however, this is pretty good.
I think it would be good to put the banners ("Deployment phase" "actions phase") somewhere other than the dead center of the screen and covering the action. Just a thought.
I have yet to see a bad Nerdook game, or even one that isn't really rather good. That having been said, this isn't one of his stronger titles. I couldn't tell you exactly why... there just seems to be less here. *shrug* That having been said, this is really good.
On the one hand, it reminds me of the old days of racing games. OutRun, Monaco GP etc. (Thats's not a compliment BTW.) On the other hand, this is about as good and tight as you can realistically get with a 3D (ish) flash racing game. Flash wan more designed with 2D stuff in mind. Thank you for producing this on flash instead of Unity.
