Is it a glitch that huge groups of like colors do not pop when columns close together or it the game supposed to be like that? That mucks up a lot of planned chain reactions that it doesn't work.
There is always a problem when games like this make the mouse pointer dissapear. Since it relys on the mouse pointer to track the paddle, the paddle is constantly getting stuck when the mosue pointer, which you can't track because it is hidden, wanders off the playing area. Those of you who complain about this being an arcanoid/break out clone may no longer say how good Sonny is.
The brick grouping genre (why is this a fenre I don't know) is pretty glutted right now. The only truely original twist I have seen recently is Knight Fall. That having been said this game isn't to bad. The HP and randomly placed hero add some difference between this and othwers and the spells are a nice touch. I havent played up to 8 million points but it does seem a little easy on level 9 so far.
Top down shooters with mouse aim are fairly common. The flaw most seem to have, and this game suffers heavily for it, is that they need something to keep the game from being just "run around in the same circle and shoot at the bad guys who get stuck in the middle trying to follow me." And yeah, the crossbow lags badly.
Needs more damage effects. For a game based on breaking things, I would expect some things to actualy, you know... break. The music is a tad monotonous but I can turn that off. Otherwise, not to shabby.
Not bad but a little to dependant on luck for me. I'm sure there are strategies that will overcome some of the luck factor but... it's just not my thing.
