Found two bugs at the shop. First time I went to the shop, I was looking around trying to figure out what to do. I sold all of my items then went to the buying screen. There was nothing there. I wasn't filtering anything and it was on the show all screen. Not sure how that one happened. The second bug was when I closed the window at that point, hoping that the items would appear. When it reloaded, all of my items were back except for the teleport to shop scroll and I had the same amount of money as before.
Otherwise it's all great.
Hey there. Glad we finally got badges. I've but a single request: when chapter three is released on Kong, would it be possible to have it released *with* the badges? I'm not sure if this is possible or not but it sure would make things a whole lot simpler. I've already beaten the game and seeing how I can't load my (finished) save file, I can't get credit for the easy and first hard badge. As I've said before: great gameplay, music, story, and everything else. Here's to the speedy release of Chapter 3!
Hey there, after seeing Chapter 1 had badges and completing them (that's beating the game for the second time now) I decided to come here and see if save data (which was for game completion) for this one was intact (It wasn't for chapter 1). The odd thing is, while I can't load my data, I can see it. The save slot is darkened as if there wasn't a file but there's definately file information in the slot:
Mardek Lv:9 1
08:00:48 C.III END OF CHAPTER 2
What has happened?
I love this expansion of the original! I pleayed this way back when it first came out and I'm glad I decided to replay it. I love that there's a use for the machine other than breaking it straight away. I'm also happy to see the tie-in with wisdom gems, no special ending if you get it though, oh well. As for those that are wondering, there is a slight difference between the two doors at the end. I wouldn't exactly say it's *worth* playing the game twice to see them both but it was nice to feel like you had a choice with what happened next.
Great game, great series, great update to a great classic. Thanks for it all.
Slightly disturbing. Creepiness aside, I suppose it was pretty well done in any case. The spinning the mouse to move text was slightly hard to get but whatever. 4/5 for pure ingenuity.
It's alright, I enjoyed it at the very least. My single gripe is the fact that the scoring system is rather klunky. A lot of times when I thought I deserved at least an A- I would get B-s and a lot of times when I thought I deserved a C I would get an A-. I'm not sure how the scoring works so I'm not sure how to improve it, but I'm sure you can figure something out. 4/5
While I love the game, and admit that it leaves very little to be desired, I have to agree that there wasn't much done in the way of new features. Good game as a whole though and I like the ranking system at the end. Thanks for the great looking/sounding version of this classic.
Good game. Kinda scary that I beat it in exactly 666 moves, dontcha think? I'm also rather annoyed at the passwords as opposed to being able to save but at least it's better than nothing.
By the way, at the end, the text reads: "Thus concludes this first chapter of the Tale of Mardek!" Shouldn't it be second? I suppose this is the first really huge one but anyway, yeah, I suppose you might want to fix that. Or not. Whatever.
Geez! Could you have made then ending much sadder? Actually yeah, I suppose you could have killed EVERYONE instead of just... oh wait... other peole read these. No more spoilers for you all!
Amazing job again Pseudo, I look forward to playing the rest of your series!
Maybe it's just me, but I would like a run away button. At least from monsters. Random battles to get rather annoying at points even though you did a good job of not making them too common.
16below, even though this game *is* very reliant upon its story, I think you're being a bit too judging. Think about it. The first chapter only covered a few days. Would you even really *want* to play 8 more years? An RPG to me is essentially an interactive movie/book and things like flashforwarding 8 or even sometimes more years is used to move the story along mainly because not much of interest happens. Or at least nothing that can't be summed up easily. I'm pretty sure Pseudo is the real maker.
Sh*BEEP*
Just got all the way to fighting Bertholio and his crew in the poison grotto and then died. The last time I saved was way back in the gem mines! Please add an autosave function that saves at crucial points?
Other than that, it's a great game. I don't know why people are complaining from there being too much text. It seems just right to me. 5/5
