This felt like a strange badge, even for 5 points. The "interactivity" is negligible and it felt like nothing I did changed the experience much. Random clicking seemed to work fine, although clicking off the menu when clicking too fast often resulted in undesirable choices. I get that it was interactive fiction more than a game, but it felt aimless and unrewarding for me.
Some of the best level design I have seen in FOREVER! Congratulations on a simple idea that rarely relied on twitchy solutions. Wonderful puzzling experience.
How lovely! Straightforward and fair. Limited actions kept this from being a "pixel hunt" and blocking off previously found solutions helped clarify progress. Just the right mix of observation and perseverance. (And not too many sad/horrific endings. :) )
The twitch factor is a fail. Repeating the same fussy sequence three times (lvl15) is NOT a puzzle. All the more ironic for it's "definition" of a good puzzle.
I really want to like this game, but... Charming idea, but the Classic levels take almost no effort and the Pro levels only add trying to guess the jaunty angle at which you want the football displayed.
Repetitive, shallow activities and boring. Inane tutorial. That's my experience, and it might be for others so don't vote it down just because you're hurt by someone not liking the game.
Had the announcement at the end come at the beginning, I might be more charitable to this unfun exercise, but this was not my favorite. Needs to allow typing to be considered playable. Still a huge Bonte fan overall.
When the late game achievements rely on stock market it would be nice to have an upgrade that speeds up the rate of change in the market. There's idle and then there's have-to-be-annoyingly-just-attentive-enough for a long time.
If your only idea for improving the game is to make me pay for fixes, forget it. (Also, creating broken games outright that force you to pay to make them usable is horrible.)
I think you judge us too harshly. Have you gave the game even a chance? There are no "pay gates", all the content is available for free, you just need finish the episodes step by step to unlock new ones - just like in hundreds other games. And the most important thing - you called it "basically the same game" and here I can't agree with you at all. Yes, the core mechanic is the same (like in any other sequel, right?) but what about all these new features and improvements, which were added since first Doodle God was launched? 1) Three new episodes: "Technology", "Modern" "Magic. 2) New game modes: Quests, Puzzles & Artifacts. 3) New Planet mode that allows gamers to see their world comes alive as they progress in the game 4) Missions that help you progress through the game and earn Mana 5) New graphics, UI, etc 6) We support 13 total languages! Give us a chance =)
I've been a fan of earlier Picma, but not this one. The interface is TERRIBLE. Should allow click and drag anywhere outside the diagram to pan instead of having to enter a "mode". Should allow arrow keys to quickly change colors. Should allow some combination of shift/ctrl/alt/option to quickly enter "X"s. Too cumbersome to play as it is. 2/5
We already have those shortcuts and many more. You can hold CTRL to pan, SHIFT (or simply right-click) to enter "X's" and change colours with Z/X. The full list is in the Instructions tab right beneath the game and in the Help section in-game.
Fabulous! Genius! Masterful! You have pulled the sword from Terry Gilliam's skull and become the rightful heir. More, more! (Also, maybe a % found indicator so I know if I should keep hunting, pretty please...?)
No fun at all to work for non-obvious goals and not have a way to back up without having to replay entirely. Nice atmosphere and clever twist on escape theme, but weak interface (very hard to see some things) and "do-over" execution.
Thanks!
