I'm sorry but the balance of this game is completely FUBAR. I get into a fight, opponent chugs 2 mana potions, and throws 2 spells, and I die without even getting a turn. Or I get matched up with someone with double the health and damage of me. And you guys consider that balanced?
How come the first thought I had when I read the first lines of the start "In the future..." I, AKU, MASTER OF EVIL!!! And what i've played of it, it definately has a nice style to it and runs smooth. Good work.
FIRE ZE MISSILES!!! "But I am le tired..."
I'd say the best weapon to escape with is the grenade launcher, that thing is an absurdly powerful weapon (and comes with buckets of grenades being one of the best things)
Subnote 1 - Most annoying enemy ever, exterminator suit + jetpack suit. The weapon it has is irrelevent, you'll need tons of damage to break through the darn thing. In random, it started in wave 2, and was the last guy killed in wave 3. (Immunity to all mobility reduction makes chargers worthless and he'll be healing massive amounts while dashing across the board with no mines to slow him down between heal spots.)
First time, i went the spam hulk drone routine, but the second time through, i went a more sophisticated approach with flame/ice traps, all sorts of chargers, and rockets with just a single 4 pack of drones to annoy snipers. It works a lot better really than just spam drone.
For all the neat ideas of this game, I can't really back it because it's interaction is pretty much zero. The game Deadly Neighbors gave you more strategy than just feed your guys, select an order, then watch two forces of overpowered lemmings run at each other with no ability to control them.
Gold is very heavy oriented, and unfortunately, the starter decks do nothing to allay that, considering some of the best cards take no gold to prepare. Add to that, the starter deck normal victory condition (claim field advantage, then swarm with weenies while range hold the middle) causes lag something fierce.
P.S. - WTB mechanics. :p
Liger03, diagonals are your friend. Seriously, there hasn't been a single time where using an ability hasn't given me an advantage. I usually spammed double move when possible because losing due to the zombie having 15+ mana (although i'd call them adrenaline/rage) and getting bombed sucks.
The big trick for epic combo is if you can cover the floor with trampolines and 5-6 mines, you'll have an endless going on, the side laser is fairly useless, but tops are handy, at most you need 4-5 buzzsaws, and if you feel the combo's goin slow, end it, put out more, speed up the turtle spewers and start a new one.
3/5 Mainly due to the difficulty... or should I say the extreme lack of it. This level of difficulty is non existant, and I don't think I lost more than 10% off my lifebar tops.
remember to buy the "immune from force" upgrade, or you'll blast your own truck backwards.
