It's a fascinating concept that was well executed, except for the fact that my ship would occasionally lose all of it's parts and i would be stuck without enough money to buy even a small gun so i wasn't able to earn any new money.
The Bat-Gang should simply transport you then let you keep your original direction and speed, rather than making you continue at a set speed/direction.
This is one of the best games i've ever played on this site(maybe even one of the best games i've played ever), the soundtrack is great, the mechanics work just fine. This is a clear 5/5. It took me a while to figure out, not because of lack of information, simply because i'm not used to thinking in this way.
If you make a sequel you should make it so that one can fully customize the character, not with pre-made costumes but like you unlock different parts and then you can choose between them.
