I appreciate the homage to Starcraft: it stops short of repeating Starcraft game elements while retaining some of the look and feel of SC. The somewhat rudimentary upgrade tree is offset to some extent by the crystal powerups. It's a nice touch, providing a way to include SC-style drones in the game without making building dependent on them. Separate volume controls for music and sfx is a definite plus. It's amazing how often volume controls are missing from these games entirely, or only have a mute button. Overall I rated this 4/5.
The one thing this game is missing is graphics quality selection. It's not like lower resolution graphics are going to make or break the gameplay in a tower defense game.
This game would be worthy of 5 stars if it wasn't for the incessant advertising by Flipline Studios. Seriously guys, WE JUST SAW THAT AD!!! For pity's sake, why show it between *every freaking level*?!
The fact that a game is several years old doesn't excuse basic design flaws like nonexistent volume controls. Don't get me wrong: I liked the game okay but it has some rough spots that should have been FIXED six years ago!
Thankfully, there is a cure for the tiny screen. Hold down your CTRL key and roll the mouse thumbwheel up/down to change screen size. Click on the screen after you're done to 'fix' the screen in place. + if you found this helpful.
So, what would you say the odds are of a man hitting the Voonerable spot whilst standing on one foot blindfolded singing "The Hedgehog Song"? Aimed, mind you!
I'm disappointed too! Despite the name, there's no evidence of the wrestlers getting maudlin, calling people at 3 am for no apparent reason or saying things like, 'Drunk? You wouldn' call me drumk if I was soberr!'
The wrestling part is okay though. :P
Fun game! Nice concept. I gave it 3.5 stars, well 4 actually, but you know what I mean. :P I have one observation/critique: it would be more useful to know what the jump reward requirements are *before* the level begins.
This would be a decent game if it was finished. As others have pointed out, it's missing all sorts of standard 'extras' like mute/quit/reset buttons, volume control, difficulty settings, not to mention tower/foe balancing. As is, the game is too easy. I still gave this 3 stars because despite the many things it lacks, the game engine itself is okay.
