ME, playing the game: 'So that's where Lisbon, Portugal is!... So that's where Reykjavik, Iceland is! ... So that's where Albuquerque, New Mexico is! ... Hey, I got one exactly right. Hmmm... Lyon, France? Never heard of it!'
Music's good. Graphics are okay. Writing is cute. Game mechanics are a little spotty but not too bad... but for some reason this game just didn't make it for me. 3 stars though.. it's an okay game, just not my cup of tea.
I would've given this game a higher rating if it wasn't for the 'press spacebar' nonsense. Literally every other move in the game is made with mouse, so why the freaking spacebar? Too weird. That and shooting someone's dick. That's pretty weird too.
Fun stuff! BTW... If the music is MIDI, try turning down channel 10 a little: the percussion line is saturating the channel. If it's not, try filtering the percussion line to attenuate the signal strength a little.
It's unusual to find an idle game that is truly idle (don't have to click to pick up treasure!), not to mention one that has a discernible end game. This has both! Great job. 5/5... If I could rate it 6 stars I would. :D
This is a grand idea but the implementation needs work. The jaw-droppingly slow pace of generation 4 is like a boot to the head, especially after the tediously slow development of generation 3. Like many other commentors here, I find the 4th generation a bridge too far to continue. 3 stars, would be more, but... TLDR: 4th generation = bad.
Good job on the graphics! I like how you de-emphasized the graphics of the playing board by making them so simple, thus pointing up the quality of the towers/monsters. Good game too, btw. :D
That story was either poorly translated from another language, or some really hackneyed prose, or a failed attempt at poetry. In spite of that, this is stellar. Brilliant art!
If you liked this game, go into medicine. If it kinda creeped you out, congratulations, you're normal! I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could because although the idea was sort of interesting, the actual gameplay was, wow, bad. Boring. Sound quality bites too.
I see the point of this game is to line up the squares and circles a round each other all in 2D, and that's flat. It's not all plane sailing though, as a wrecked angle could ruin the whole level. It's a matter of degree, so don't go off on a tangent if you don't want to waste minutes and seconds circling a round again. If you were expecting puns about string, sorry: someone was handing you a line!
You lined that all up perfectly, straight up some first degree string jokes right there!
