@vikingfunk Look at the description of that cell again. See how it says makes 4 pulses per tick? That means you're making four times the amount stated - per tick. That also means you're dumping 6.4 Qa of heat per tick - not 1.6 Qa.
@Cione Offline mode has been discussed before. He can't do it given all the calculations required to do some of these more crazy designs. Get over yourself.
Easy way to replace mass amounts of items with themselves (to remove heat) - Pause, then Shift-left click with the device one level lower (e.g. a Wonderous Heat Vent to replace an Ultimate), then Shift-left click with the level you want to have. Definitely easier than swapping one at a time.
Cooling cells are surprisingly useful when you max out your exchangers just to transfer heat out of the outlets. I can actually take out one of my heatsink arrays in my Protium reactor just because of coolant cells.
There's something about running your hull heat to the absolute red zone and setting it up so that you can idle it at that heat, that I just enjoy doing.
Warning to newbies: Don't invest in the chronometer upgrades unless you have an extremely good reason for doing so. It will come back to bite you if you end up going supercritical - you will not have enough time to even attempt to dump all that heat.
vklimov: it's a good idea to have an "updates" tab either on the page or in the game itself - if nothing else, it'll cut down on all of these rage comments.
@lugui01: It really depends on the item. If it's part of a congratulatory set (e.g. the Red Thunder armor set), it's not usually worth it. There's exceptions, of course (e.g. the Lucky Dragon ship); but that's why you look around the fora to see how useful they are first.
Hints for chapter 4: Apparently no one likes to squirt those lemon circle things in their drinks. Order is important. After you distract the barmaid, look for the Worcestershire sauce for the order. You also need a tumbler to mix the drink with.
