Tip for 10: Sometimes you need to play defensively and sacrifice one of your cells in order to get a position that is more easily defendable. Then, focus your attacks on the weak point of the enemies' positions.
I... think my eyes just nuked themselves during Monotune.
In other news, can there be an option to turn off the combo bursts? Having that girl pop up saying "Toasty!" is incredibly distracting.
I think it says something about how precise you have to be when I couldn't get a strike on Pearl Harbor, despite being only a few RL miles out from the base.
Future note to the developers: Insane difficulty spikes after each major structure is a big no-no, especially if you don't tell the player this until they've already plopped down the points for it. The player is assured of multiple deaths as early as Day 2, if they realize the error you made with the Workshop (the tutorial mentions it takes 16 points when it only takes 8) and buy it right off.
@nclp: Make sure all of your slots are filled. For some reason, they automatically give you the loadout you had when you last cleared the level, but left additional slots you may have gotten later empty.
Hm. In the transfer screen the game notes me having cleared Infinity Space when I died to ZM after the inevitable 1HP/Poison combo. Also, don't know if this is an acknowledged bug or not, but aimed enemy projectiles (such as the final bosses' lasers) move insanely fast when the target is above or below in a certain arc.
I managed to glitch through the big reversed C shortly after checkpoint V. The comment in the next room on "how did you even get in this room?!" is quite amusing afterward.
Okay, seriously, I was moments away from reaching max height when the platform I was intending to bounce off of went offscreen and disappeared, causing me to go into an unrecoverable fall. This wasn't the first time, either. What's up?
Honestly, I know shmups have mimimalistic storylines, but for something from Ge.ne.sis, I was expecting something more in terms of storyline development during and between areas - especially concerning the boss areas.
Sometimes it seems everyone else specializes specifically to defeat _you_. This is like the fifth guy in a row I've faced that preferred High Attack and High Defense, when one of my slots is Low Defense.
Once you have all trophies, the early game becomes quite easy, as you can immediately jump into a maxed level. If you're still after the badges, don't underestimate the power of Regeneration. At max level, you'll heal the damage from even an XL Seeker quite swiftly, allowing you to choose whether piercing through enemies or going around them is a better option. Combined with maxed Pixels and Magnet, living becomes very easy as long as you evade every so often.
@Moorgan: The switch to hamster does not drastically change the way the machine works. The Push Bot can still be flipped around, like the walkthrough video does.
