if you want to just decimate and own every character in the game just use someone with a STAFF. amazing cooldown rate and 8 dmg per attack. the best character with a staff is the birdman tribe leader.
5/5 for the idea of the game and addictiveness.
things to improve the game: (1) maybe add some dialogue or even give the pet some lines. (2) there are a lot of quests. i think there should be separate list for crafting quest and another for monsters and bosses.
Tips: Get all bonuses
Go for Height/Time first and second (depending on your points layout), 3rd distance, and speed 4th. Once you get to the end of the game... and need distance; hover as close to the water as you can for max distance.
you only need 2 TYPES of units of units in this game huscarls and archers. Huscarls have huge damages bonuses and can use berserks. When the enemies are flying use archers. Mages are also good debuff units. When leveling up heroes/ items go for tactics and elementals! If you apply all of the advice above you can finish the game in 6-7 hrs like me!!
