Repetitive. How to beat the game? One spread machine gun (if you can't afford it, go with dual machine guns), a couple decoys, and the rest into damage buffers.
Upgrade your first gun to max. Use that until you can afford a M16. Upgrade that to max. Use that until you can afford a Gatling gun. Fully upgrade that. Win. There is no noticeable difficulty increase after you get the Gatling gun, at least up to level 31 (I got bored and left). Chainsaw uses way too much ammo to be very useful, unless you get surrounded.
The 2k drop nerf is more annoying than helpful. It just makes the level 3 farming time longer. Pointless nerf to be honest when you can just repeat levels.
I love how people give low points for games they can't beat, and high points for games that they can beat. A point though: hard mode is way too easy. If I had the computer's army, I can easily trash myself. Let the hard mode computer snipe off low health units with ranged units: instead of hitting the "tanks", have the scorpions aim for the weak ranged units. Etc. Basically, the AI sucks.
Simple, but one-dimensional. In the beginning, micro blue tarantulas. Later on, micro yellow argiopes while using blue (and later on, purple) tarantulas to tank. When you get fire tarantulas, you have the ultimate tank that can also deal 1-hit KOs. As long as your fire tarantulas don't suffer over 260 damage in one turn or a critical hit, they will always be there. The red (splash) argiope is useless. Either raise the damage range, or make splash not-friendly-fire.
@pokerhappy, the reason why sonny and gemcraft got high ratings is BECAUSE they don't really require skill. Please reread my logic before commenting. moses78 got it right on.
I think the biggest reason of why people vote this game highly is because any non-colorblind idiot can do well on this game and earn a high score. Notice how easier games that more people can actually play tend to get rated higher than harder games that actually require skill.
Having actually played the game, I have to say, it is relaxing, but the gameplay is very similar to other "collecting" games, right down to the colors and multiplier and collector size. The other game name currently escapes my mind though.
@beterdenAngryCyc, how the hell do you know that Sonny and Gemcraft "noobs" are the only ones rating the game low? Everyone has his or her own tastes, and if someoen doesn't like the game, all power to that person. Grow up and get a job.
You should have had some penalty for only killing one soul each turn. In addition, @AluKakuzu, you lose one heart first, before you get hearts back. Meaning you lost first. Your last life is effectively 1 heart if you want to still live.
