So, having achieved all but the last badge... how do I get them recognized? None of the badges are recognizing the in-game accomplishments for me, and it would be rather annoying to screencap all the unlocks just to prove it...
I wonder how many people are going to rage-rate this game because the time investment is so much longer than the other badges on the Dragon Age quest. It's got a lot of issues, but it's not bad for the kind of game it aims to be.
I don't think I've ever had a battle last more than an hour. Save on completion seems fine for this game. That said, the ship AI needs a lot of work. I hate realizing that I've mis-clicked ship targets, knowing they'll go nuts trying to find the new target... or watching the strange gyrations as they move around planets inefficiently...
So, er... how does one "capture" a city? I've been told to take Pia, I travel to it, I'm welcomed. No new options. I leave, I come back, I'm welcomed. No option to take the city ever appears.
The best part was when I walked next to a treetrunk, and the game decided I was IN the trunk, and therefore couldn't move while everything on screen surrounded me. Awesome. :/
The perspective thing really is a killer for me. The story seemed... blah, but I was willing to put it up with it for another Mushroom Revolution style game... but this didn't deliver.
Bleh. Still dislike lack of direct control over your (faster) allies. Either I risk wasting an action the ally might killsteal, or I end up leaving enemies alive unnecessarily long. Meh.
Graphics are cute. That's about the only thing going for it. Desperately needs: Speed increases. Wave calling. Stats so you can see what you're spending money on. And, as near as I can tell so far, a reason to invest in anything but machine guns.
Also, I didn't mention this in my previous comment, but having to wait for your score to "roll" up before doing anything after a level? Insanely annoying. -1
Mouse control on a tiny flash window is kinda of irritating. I use a pointstick, and staying in the confines can be rather difficult under those circumstances... and the game won't notice unless I click to fire. Mars what seems like an otherwise pretty cool idea.
Anger is particularly powerful when you've got some level 2 or 3 gems at the start of a round - you can easily bump your early monster counts without worry, and bring in more score and mana quickly for mana-pooling.
Not to be rude, but if you're going to write a game in English, please hire an English writer who is either a native, or at least fluent. Not much to say about the gameplay, not much to recommend it.
Why, oh why, can't people get proofreaders for their games? Santinels? Ilustates? I wonder if I could just offer out services as a flash game spellchecker.
