Well, I came to check this game out and left pretty fast as well, just the moment I discovered you can buy skill points for Kreds. That alone tells me that any ideas I might had about balance are going to be smashed into a thousand pieces.
Kudos for the useful battle log as most Card games just leave you wondering what happened afterwords but it really needs to be something in the tutorial.
Extremely cute game, it was a lot of fun to play. The primary complaint I would have (and it's minor) is that the little ending screen shows up each time you complete either the Baconator or Big Boss levels. Otherwise, it's great. I've already recommended for people to keep an eye out for it being released.
You know, I never comment before I play but I normally do not have my eyes go totally wide when a game shows up. Considering I think EBF3 is the best RPG game on the whole of Kong this one did.
I'm pretty sure this game never ends. I made it to about 6,000 meters and I was still getting statements every 1000. The last one said "Man, does this ever end?" and so I let the water catch up.
Nerdook, glad to be able to beta test one of your games now. Mostly the game worked great. The balance of the game wasn't nearly as off as some of your previous games were as it wasn't simply just a walk in the park the whole time.
The "Reinforcements are here!" pop up got very old, very quickly. Is there anyways you'd be willing to change it to an overlay that doesn't require a button press to pass by?
I ran into one bug where when I finished level 20 I got the start up story scene instead of the ending song scene. It might be unrelated but I hibernated the computer during Mission 20 and beat it when I came back.
Also, when beating Survival mode it shows me gaining one star, even though I had three leftover but I still gain a total of three.
Fleece, is there any reason you are telling me to lose the game in your title? Buying High and Selling Low makes your cash go down, not up. Reminds me of the old Mad Magazine "Lose all your money" board game.
=(
a little more than half of what's supposed to be... I'll try to increase the game's performance, not sure if I'll be able to do that though, since I'm not experienced with code optimization.
As always, thank you for the feedback!
Raf, I tried it on my machine and the gates work properly now as does the other things you said you fixed. It does kind of look like the regular time runs in real time. I stood next to the second gate, on the left side, and hit the button. The timer went 14 seconds before the gate closed. If this is right then I guess there's no problem. Still, it's not a huge issue as it would only affect the high score boards, not fully lock people out of the game.
Thanks for playing again, Solsund. Good to know my fixes worked. And yes, the timer counts in real time, it's not frame based. Did you enabled the FPS counter? I'm curious to know the FPS you were running the game.
Well this is certainly a better job on the game than the first one but it's still running too many issues to really warrant a full score. It's got a seriously messy bug that causes extreme lag related to throwing pots or rocks. Turns out if you pick up a pot then stand near another pot (or three!) then hold down A to throw it will pick up the next pot then throw not just one but about 10 of that pot. Great way to get lots of cash but be ready to save and load to drop lag afterwords. UknownXL, this would be a great thing to do to help track down where the lag from spawns is coming from.
I've had the bug happen where no keyboard controls will be registered and therefore you can't move. It's also horribly annoying. All you need to do is click outside of the window (like to the chat) and then back again.
I don't remember it happening yesterday when I played through the game but then again I did it all in one shot so maybe it happened on the first level.
Thank you British IP office and Aardmore for such a wonderful little game. It's obviously created to promote the ideas of Intellectual Property but doesn't psuh it down your throat. You don't even have to read most of the IP signs.
And on top of that it's a really nifty puzzle game. I wish more "Advertising" type games could get this concept: It's not going to be nearly as effective if it's not fun to play.
The finish with time 0 is actually quite easy. Just buy the speed booster skill from page 1 skills and the Time Manipulator item from the Black Market page. Load up the first zone without the boss and then just spam the speed booster to zoom to the end. You'll get there in under 45 seconds and get the medal.
That time manipulator is also very useful for the 4xAmazing and 4xPerfect achievements.
Well, I'd go further but I hit the bug with the giant in level 2 and he just stands there.
And no beers are needed on the Druid. Attack the Blarney stones when he throws them. He dies incredibly fast.
The game doesn't seem to like people using the logoff feature then logging into another character. Almost every time I've tried doing this I get stuck at some point in the loading process.
When it town if you leave yourself in any menu, whether it be the regular one or an item shop, for an extended period of time you stand a risk of coming out of it to find the main game locked up. Most of the time no movement of NPC characters is seen and the player responds to no commands except to reopen the menu.
I'd suspect this has something to do with activity happening on the screen while your character is in the menu.
With the swampfoot it's certainly not him jumping as I tested it quite a bit before reporting it.
And I was actually told to put bugs in the comments for a beta test game like this. There's even been comments in these comments saying to do just that.
If you miss a day on extermination quests you can kill the full 50 enemies, then it finally tells you the quest failed. Also if you drop the quest while in town Admiral Stanton will not update his quests until you leave the area and come back.
Thank you! Already fixed and oinkloaded :)
