The premise is cool and the execution is pretty good, but the level design is tedious and unfun. In particular, combining puzzle-solving and platforming. A puzzle can only be solved once, and having to go through the same puzzle several times because of a) missing a detail and b) failing a jump just makes it frustrating. Introducing safety nets and reducing the punishment for failure while maybe increasing the difficulty of puzzles would help make the game both more interesting and more fun.
I WOULD like this game. I WANT to like this game. But the combat is complete garbage. I understand the idea that you're supposed to avoid combat, but come on. Have my teammates consecutively miss high percent chances in their attacks, and than just have some random marauder two-shot when he should be by all means dead. Its complete trash.
I can't say much about the game since I couldn't be bothered to care about it, but I DID discover thats its possible to break the tutorial. The box that you need to push to get the key, and than exit the area, can't be pushed up against the wall first. If you do that, you can't get the key.
Such fantastic game design! I can invest solely in precision skills, and when I try to shoot 3 rushing zombies I miss them all, of no fault of my own! I just LOVE playing games where I can miss point-blank zombies with a shotgun 3 times in a row, and die afterwards. That's the best part!
I would have given this game a 3/5 if it wasn't for that awful last level. It brought out the worst of the game, which is the bad maneuverability of the helicopter and the unreasonably high health that some of the enemies have. Filling the screen with dodgy bullet sponges doesn't work here, since the helicopter isn't capable of dodging the bullets, and it needs an unreasonable amount of upgrades to actually deal with it. It was alright up until than though.
I got a game freeze in the final segment, where the x's start making lines. One of the x's was placed on top of a circle, which immediately led to the game freeze.
My only issue with the game is that you can't see what something does, like the sword symbol obviously means attack but it's not immediately obvious what fedora means.
Tip on how to beat the bosses: Jump on the tippy top of the robot and crouch. You can't fall off, he can't hit you, but you can shoot him as much as you want.
My game broke. The last truck went too fast and after hitting a clamp the wheel fell off and I am getting the soaring too high money thing. There are no signs of stopping.
