love the art and music, enjoyed the ending and the slight 'creepiness' of it all. a little bit of blind clicking around which I didn't like so much, but the game itself wasn't too tough - if anything it was a little too easy. the puzzles were a little random and didn't have much of a logic - it felt more like just finding random items that I had to guess the use for. that being said, there were some lovely touches like the puzzle in the green room, the ending and the final music. agree with the others about playability though...
great game, though I felt the ones with the guys in glasses were a bit hit and miss... you either got them or you didn't, I couldn't really figure out if there was a way of making them run where you wanted. My favourite level was "accident", loved how the hanging platform is used.
Thanks for sharing the song freely. I really enjoyed this game. Once I got past where to put the pyramid I was okay. Not too hard and I liked hearing the songs in bits and pieces... any chance of getting the song bits as we heard them with the 5 records?
is it just me, or are the dungeons random? I died on level 9 and went back to the main menu to continue, then found that the dungeon layout was different. Also it's a bit annoying that I can't save in the middle of a dungeon.
To kill hades (and actually for most puzzles) it seems that the longer you wait, the lower your chance of survival. So if you get to Hades, try and kill him as fast as you can. I think it helps to not touch the ground if possible, but I'll let you figure out that part ;)
I didn't particularly like the controls as I found the character's 'response' a little frustrating. I enjoyed the music and I quite liked Cerebus :p Most of all I like that you can't really "die" (but I also won't spoil the ending for new players). But, the multi-limbed creature was slightly annoying until I understood how it worked.
I think persistence in finishing the game actually helped me enjoy it a bit more than I would have if I gave up - I do like a manageable challenge ;p
Overall, a lovely game, so thank you (:
5/5... LOVE the evil scientist voice, enjoying the whole flow of the game as well as the challenge of the puzzles. the controls are also easy to work for a more 'casual gamer' like me. one thing though (and I know, I'm asking this of a pixel game), it would be nice to have quality levels e.g. reduce effects etc because my computer is daft and struggles with running the game sometimes.
i was terrified that when i was killing the last boss it might have been a mutated version of Lily who had been experimented on... but thankfully I was spared that painful ending! :p
I take it back. After much frustration and persistence (read: stubbornness) (and an increase in repair kit drops near the end) I figured out how to beat the last level. It is possible, but you have to know the pattern of the planes very well so that you can get them before they get you. It helps to have a small plane to navigate through the torrent of bullets (I used the Fort with meteors left and right, with plasma ball centre). Though, I still can't even get past 1 star rating on normal :P But I've finally got the badge now, so I'm going to give my eyes a break...
I really enjoyed it until the last two levels, then I got too frustrated because it gets too difficult =/ I did however try to win through evasion and only shoot when necessary... that, unfortunately, didn't work ;)
