This is about the 1000th game of this type on Kongregate. Compared to other launch games, the distinct features are: 1) the need for constant tapping of keys to stay in flight, 2) a needlessly complex resource/upgrade system. 2/5 stars
I guess this is an inside-joke meant to amuse the developer's online friends and fans. As an outsider, I don't get it. The gameplay is clunky and unoriginal. I can't think of much reason to play it unless you know the people who are represented as characters in the game.
I'm not sure what the big fuss over Nerdook is all about. They are certainly prolific, but their games seem uninspired and very rough around the edges. This one is a basic story-driven platformer with cluttered environments and a clunky performance that is slow, dark and unsatisfying when compared to similar games on this site.
I really don't have the patience for tower defense games like this. Despite all the bells & whistles, it's just the same tedious exercise over and over and over again.
Interesting deconstruction of the classic platformer. I like how well the developers incorporated so many different puzzle elements into the levels. Thoroughly enjoyable!
