Lol, why did you thumbs down Tion? I got high-score mode in the first try too.. It WOULD be luck based except for the fact that you can buy yourself an extra 45 seconds when your desperate just stacking items in the scrolling bar.. So really, I only "technically" made it to 165, but the stacking gave me enough extra time to beat it without just giving up.. Also, pro tip: Only use the star on the biggest item you have, if you don't have anything larger than a helmet, save them up till you do.
Huh, this guy dim's not so bad.. I mean.. forcing me to do 1 accurate shot, whatevs, other levels do that... .. Wait.. Now he's forcing me to do 2 accurate shots in a row?.... That's a little evil, but I can still take it... .... .. What?... 3?.... Really?... *rates game 2/5*
In undead mode if you make sure to fire before your previous shot leaves the screen, as long as they hit, you can attain infinite multipliers, getting money VERY fast. I only seem to have attained this easily with steel ball, but it's still a neat trick.
The game went from slightly unfairly hard to challengingly normal when I learned that you can slap boats with your tail-fin as well as head-butt them.. Doing a vertical rush with a fancy flip has never been so awesomely destructive.. XD
Ever since I played that one level in mario three where you have to jump across a bunch of those wooden tanks I DREAMED of a game like this... Thank you, nitrome, you made my dream reality.. 5/5 and favorited.. And I love the storyline and epic music. :)
Those floating craps sound like a monster being hurt from metroid, and the robot SHOOTS metroid health at you!.. .. Iunno.. ... It's hard not to see metroid in games like this, the genre is so rare...
Every time I come back to this game I'm reminded of why I rated it a 1/5... The controls are too sensetive, there's no walk button, and constantly confusing e (Which is usually jump) for shooting a yellow portal is just a 3-bean frustration salad...
The bottom right number in the circle on every card is a sanity penalty you get for using that card.. If you want to lose your sanity quickly, just spam the cards with higher sanity penalties (1,2,3, ect), like summoning and healing cards.
4/5, but like metroid, the game become a bit tediously boring after a while having to look for all those darn secrets and the game lost it's appeal... But definitely a very good game, and wonderful background music.
As long as you can LEARN and remember where some of the basic countries are like germany, USA, india, china, canada, and australia are, you can get the first badge in a few tries with some luck. I got to level 3, but I'm gonna stop there..
The game was almost ruined by these time-based achievements.. Though fun to play, they make the game alot more dependant on luck to get them, you just have to replay over and over again until the boss goes the right way and the guards just happen to walk the wrong way...
I'm getting this impossible badge TODAY, lol.. Already on level 10 on hard with all previous achievements.. I LOVE this game.. This is the only game of which has time-trial challenges that I don't despise..
