I gave this game a 3/5 shortly after starting, then as time went by it qualified for 5/5 for me.
Amazingly the dev continues to add content! Sadly he also adds a lot of cash shop items. Some features are pretty much useless without cash shop items. I'm sorely disappointed and have dropped to 1/5.
Sorry to make a double post, but I cleared my browser cache and such as well as resetting again and I'm no longer having issues. Sorry for shouting wolf prematurely. It was only a bunny rustling the bushes.
I've changed my rating. After resetting to exchange my 'busted' AI for a new one I've found that having more than 3 stars in population causes a few at the start to exchange their cpu for a potato and the rest of them a carrot.
Okay, I was prepared to give the game a 4/5 after playing it for a while.
After 300 generations on the same track without changing any of the stats I'm still only getting 4/30 to completion. Until the 'learning' is fixed I'm going to have to drop it to a 1.
They need a checkpoint or something so that they stop making random changes after a certain point up to that checkpoint based on the most effective time. I'm certainly not an expert on machine learning but it's not hard to tell when something just isn't working.
This can't be considered an idle game in my opinion.
I have to manage my heroes constantly, need to click to recruit workers. This needs serious work to compete with other idles.
I LOVE the concept though.
This game concept has potential. However it was poorly implemented.
The knight is held back by the fact that quests take 10+ seconds to complete. He completes a quest by surviving. Whereas the archer completes a quest by killing.
My knight has to survive for 10 seconds.
My archer has to kill in 10 seconds.
My knight survives the 10 seconds. Completes 1 quest.
My archer kills in 1 second. Starts a new quest and kills in 1 second again. My archer progresses 10 times faster than my knight.
The game has potential. But gets a 1/5 for now.
Sadly I don't think the developer is capable of solving this issue. :(
I gave the game a 1 at the start, and followed it waiting for the game to change and get better. However, seeing how the games come along, and the dev is the way he is. I'm afraid it will forever have a 1-star rating from me.
I'm sorry, this gets a 1. It is far too soon to be putting this on kongregate, it's not really a game at all.
There's nothing to it, just a few clicks, and it's not even an idle game!
I recommend you take this down, and re-publish it when it has at LEAST 30 minutes of play-time in it. Otherwise, it's just going to get a bunch of negative views/feedback, and very few people will bother following it to completion.
Thanks for the advice. I was going to wait but I'd like to hear what people want to see get put in this before i spend a bunch of time on the whole thing. I wouldn't want to waste time putting a game together then go back through it, completely restructuring everything. I also don't have a lot of time where i can work on it for straight hours. My projects mainly are worked on half an hour to an hour at a time. Thanks again for feedback.
I have to voice my dislike for "reduced cost" upgrades. If it's too expensive to the extent that you need and upgrade to reduce the cost, then you just reduce the base cost!
It's like making what should be a patch, into an upgrade. I mean, it's not like the reduced cost is optional.
You broke it for me.
I was making a sextillion per titan tick, now I'm struggling for quintillions. Even if it's faster, it's just not as satisfying as getting that huge chunk of power.
Also, I was hoping you would branch off and do your own thing, but you keep adding more stuff that's near identical to adcap. Using it as a basis is one thing.
However, it almost seems like you are using their exact code. <
I was 4-stars before, now, 2-stars after recent patch.
I'll update it soon enough, so there will be more content!
