I'm very torn on my rating for this game. On the one hand, the story is very well thought out, and opens itself to a wide variety of puzzles to engage the player and tell the story. On the other hand, the puzzles are far too cryptic to understand on their own, and some puzzles seem more like random scavenger hunts for dialog snippets than an actual game or interactive story. I'd suggest tightening up the instructions for puzzles and their mechanics to fit more seamlessly into a point-and-click genre.

Absolutely ridiculously poor battle AI. The warrior shouldn't sometimes miss an enemy frozen in place with a trap, and the archer shouldn't miss an enemy currently being tanked by the warrior! And why in the world does the dragon always miss when the enemy is advancing?! I understand regular knockback, but these flaws are egregious considering they're the core battle mechanic of the game. Too much potential squandered away by overlooking the fun factor of relying on a player's skill/strategy.

Comically bad decisions by Juicy Beast continued... 5. Please make an exception so that you don't use the Chili Bomb at the end of a bunker run. There is nowhere else for the bison to go! That is the end! Save it, don't waste it! 6. For missions like "squash 3 cops at once", why in the world does it not count when you slam down wrapped in gummi clouds? They get squashed either way...

1. The upgrade cost balance before your first Time Warp is completely out of whack. They are balanced like an idle game, and Juicy Beast -- this is NOT an idle game. 2. There are too few missions. Missions are the only way to get cards, besides piñatas, and piñatas require watching ads. Want better loot? Kreds. Pay to win? Shame on you. 3. I like the way you created a money sink with Buffed Out +. I thought I'd hate it, but no, it's pretty good. Thanks. 4. "Do you like the update?" Uh.. kinda? "We should tell people about it!" DON'T CLICK YES! It reloads the game as their website with no way back, and you will lose your run progress.

Stuck at the Voidwielder, not sure why he hits for 700+ dmg each time. Feels like a bug where his damage scales in relation to your level (I grinded to 25, and cannot survive against him)

As clearly mentioned by other users, this game has a fun concept but is rendered unplayable by the game-crippling memory leak and battle victory bugs. Other than that, it's kind of odd all around, but fun to tax your victory islands and send your minions on a drunken rampage. 2/5 due to the bugs.

As much as I do enjoy this game series, I found this particular one a bit heavy on the grind and repetition. It would be nice if there was some variety, or at least the grind wasn't exactly the same 7 times over.

Used to love these logic brain teasers when I was younger. Love the minimalism, and love the challenge in the later levels. To those complaining about puzzle 33, come on -- just try a couple different patterns. While very short, it doesn't overstay it's welcome. I'd say 5/5. Make more!

Great game all around. Tutorial was very direct. Training never felt too grindy, and ALWAYS gave appropriate rewards. Lots of avenues for progression, and the skills made for fun combat. 5/5 would play again. Can't wait to see what you've done for the sequel!

For a puzzle game with 40 levels, especially for 2010 when it was released, it's just amateur to allow the user's savegame to be DELETED if the browser crashes. Happened to me too, and have to do 39 levels again.

Hint for grinding money: once you unlock Reporter, equip her and go back to the first area. Start and End the day to get her $250 daily bonus. Rinse, repeat.

RNG at its worst. The listed "chance to hit" is not programmatically accurate. Hit damage does not equate with the increase in cost of weapon/ammo when you factor the hit% in. Ex: if I waste $300 in ammo on misses (in a row), that's a pretty big setback for a day's run. Damage bugs when you throw grenades (DoT does not seem to kill enemies, also enemies killed by grenades seem to have one more attack turn). No abilities to increase your survivability (best armor still allows you to get one-shot for 33% your total health), and this one's huge: money gained does not increase based on the difficulty of the monster. I could go on... I like the concept, but the execution was obviously focused on something other than game balance. 2/5.

Sorry, but for a game as recent as 2012, third in the Arkandian series, and still suffers from terrible memory leaks and game-crippling lag, I cannot give this game any more than 2/5. The second star only because I think I would really enjoy this game if it were playable on a not-so-old macbook pro.

10 minutes in so I've only got UX feedback so far, but the tutorial and town management could use some tlc with regards to hover-states, showing players what they can click on besides buttons, and where the click-areas are (for example, buildings). Clicking anywhere to advance the dialog wasn't my first thought -- show some faded text. I'm using a touchpad at the moment, and tapping on the touchpad does not register as clicking -- you might want to tweak the sensitivity of clicking to allow players to actually "Tap" since that's the language you use in the game to interact with things. Oh, and nice try avoiding "violence" by giving the sheriff rubber bullets -- but if she doesn't know about her rubber bullets, does that mean the enemy is using real bullets? Doesn't seem fair..

Could have done more with the sound effects / music balancing. Couldn't tell there were any sfx in there unless I listened real hard. Fun game nonetheless.

@AdmiralApollo said everything I was thinking. I completely agree that in such a small space (graphics, length, music, dialogue), you have managed to pack in a game with replayability, emotion, character build, and an overall fun and engaging mood. Well done, and I look forward to your next project(s)!! (a solid 5/5, no question)

Love the music. The match-the-beat has been done before, but not to navigate a ball through a maze. Nice concept, and execution. What might make everybody stop complaining is if you provide checkpoints which don't save progress, but rather UNLOCK portions of the song to listen to. Not having heard what's coming up next makes pure guessing very difficult and stress inducing. For what it's worth, I still had to look up a video just to hear the 3.x song in full. I still had to match the beats, but I could enjoy it much more... 5/5 regardless. I hope you release more tunes!

Oddly enough, despite the absolute random nature of the prices, and how little control the user has of the quantity and nature of deals or risky ports, I found this game to be a nice balance of tranquility (nice music) and stressful challenge (mashing the BUY button because you can't buy more than 30 at a time). While I agree with many comments below that the BUY button should allow buying more than 30, I still found this game to be very well done, and it felt more balanced than I was originally going to give it credit. 4/5 stars. Thanks for the fun experience.
