You know, for a "quick" game, the controls are very, very slow. I should be able to press directions as fast as I please, and not be bogged down by animations.
@Kotasirith: Gaining levels increases your chance to hit higher level monsters. At least that's how it seems to me. It also increases your base attack power and defense, and maybe your max hp too. It might also increase lower level monsters' chance to hit you, but by the time it matters you likely onehit them anyway, so it's difficult to measure.
Beat the first level... story quality is on the level of a bad slash fanfic. Gameplay is... mediocre. I will say it looks beautiful, though. But still, that's not enough of a saving grace to excuse this ending up on the front page...
Final dance is indeed quite aptly named... I especially liked the introduction of the buttons, though I felt there could have been a couple more levels using them. Excellent puzzle game. Didn't ever stump me too hard, just forced me to take breaks because of too-much-brain-use syndrome.
Wow.. um... so this game has a crazy memory leak that needs to be looked at... My HD started thrashing then I found that firefox was using more than 3 gigs of memory (And this is the only tab open)
Ugh... add a minus button for perks, at least for points assigned during that level please. I keep adding junk crap I don't need because I'm spam-clicking my pistol and then sudden level up and HEY HAVE SOME ARMOR POINTS. WHAT? YOU WANTED SOMETHING USEFUL? TOO DAMN BAD!
REALLY needs a note that when turning the view, you are always as close to the screen as possible. I'm on like level 3-4 and many sections require a 180 degree turn first to "move" to the other side of a platform while making a 90 degree turn. Also, is anyone else reminded of Lost In Shadow or am I the only one that played that game?
memory leak ho! It becomes incredibly laggy after playing awhile... i.e. playing through the whole game from start, no cash, to finish, without dying or restarting... Also, I never unlocked HMG or rocket launcher even though I was using level 3 weps exclusively for the last 20-30 days (I replayed the last five like four times trying to get enough survivors) The last boss was a huge dissappointment. He didn't even attack before he died... Also the last comic was lame. Way, way lame, considering how much damage you can actually take before dying.
A generic team deathmatch game with unbalanced maps, no team autobalance and the ability to form four person teams in a 6 person max game... is top rated how?
Is it bad that I got 1 star on both overdrive crazy the first time I tried them because I knew the song that well? >.> Also, to those whining about the key controls and how awkward it is to put your hand in that position... you're not SUPPOSED to have a finger on every key. Learn to move your arm and not just your wrist, noobs.
Freeplay should have the option to stop the beam of light and move it around at will to be able to make complex pictures like in the level designs ;D Also it would go a lot faster with editor tools -- Click once to add selected block here, click once to delete block, etc. The clicking and dragging gets tedious for big projects. Also, because of the placement of the trash bin, you can't place objects in the top right corner of the screen, hanging off of the circle, like you can in every other corner.
One thing to note, to the dev and anyone attempting to make a game in this vein... add sensitivity settings to the mouse. My touchpad ends up with very low sensitivity to the point of being nearly unplayable.
Bwahaha... Deyhdration is... so overpowered. It stacks with itself. It's overpowered even if it didn't stack with itself... I haven't hired any companions since I unlocked level 2 elemental. I killed gunnar in three turns and he couldn't even fight back because I led with thunderclap. I didn't hire a single henchman for the rest of the game... I found that chameleony still works when you use powers, rendering me invulnurable after I figured that out. Not a single monster was resistant to entropy blast, either, with maxed corresponding stats... Not even the mighty Waizer. He died in one hit. This game has so many balance issues it's not even funny. The only challenge I ever had was someone with max defense, so I had a 30% chance to hit... but once I buffed my own defense he had even less, so I still won: entropy blast had to hit eventually.
Hard badges? Really? They don't even take that long, and the AI is retarded (Read: Not maxed) and thus easy to beat. Then again, with certain classes (Read: Half of them) There are 100% guaranteed win strats...
Game itself is awesome. Quite overbadged, though...
Correcting jugis: Zu's "change with health" attack is affected by hp% as far as I can tell. So a Sisily with max empathy that doesn't get hit absolutely destroys things with it.
Oh I dunno, some of their recent songs have been quite touching. Also there's an option in the options menu ;)
