Aside from the one daily puzzle that's new each day, there's no new puzzles planned to be added. Probably the daily puzzle pack will be updated to include all the puzzles from 2014 and sometime in the future there might be more daily puzzle packs from the 2015, 2016 daily puzzles, but that's no new puzzles.
Several game behavoir things can be changed in the "Options" after you got the right prizes. When you activate "Safe 1" an X actually makes you need two clicks to fill the square (first click on a field with an X will make fiels empty, then second click obviously fills it). You need to solve 9 "Nature" category puzzles to unlock "safe 1" option. Please see here: http://wikiwiki.jp/pixelo/?PUZZLE%2FNature
If the daily puzzle download fails, please clear your browsers cache, then reload page. Make sure to have a backup of your flash shared object pixelo save file.
@Ahmed: I generelly recommend mouse control. To fill a square click on it. To mark a square as empty hold down "V" and click on it. This gives you a grey x. If you click on a square that's supposed to stay empty it gives you a red x called a failed pixel and substracts some time from the timer. When there's no time left you loose. Do you have any other questions?
@Thirrin: Given the indefinite natur of daily puzzles, the answer is definitly "yes".
I think someone once mentioned how many daily puzzles it would take to get to lvl 100. It was quite a lot indeed. It is not possible with only those puzzles available by the sets.
Hey kiki, this is no bug. No different then most other flash games, Pixelo saves your progress locally - on your computer - in a flash shared object file called pixeloOptionSave.sol. If some program of yours deleteds this file (e.g. because you tell it to clear all temporary internet files), then your progress is lost. To get access to the daily puzzles, you have to solve calender puzzle in "Normal" page2-1-4. Do Church puzzle on Easy 2-3-3 to get architekt badge to unlock normal faster. And probably you want to make some backups of your flash shared object folder. Please do this regulary.
@NetMonster: That's right. While the easy/normal/hard puzzles all have one unique solution only, a very few of the daily puzzle pack are ambigous. I think, this is supposed to be fixed with the next update, but if you want to be sure, you could write the developer tamaii a (friendly) whisper reporting this error.
It's absolutly possible. I would assume it's easiest if you search your disk for "pixelo". You should find a file called pixeloOptionSave or pixeloOptionSave.sol. On your new computer start the pixelo game (on kong). This will create a flash save pixeloOptionSave. Now you can search your new comp for pixelo and copy the pixeloOptionSave.sol from your old computer and overwrite the save on new comp. Is it understandable? In general I recommend regulary backup of everything in the "SharedObjects" folder, which has all your flash save files, especially the chat.kongregate.com folder. If you wish you can move your whole chat.kongregate.com folder as long as you have the right destination.
I thought, putting quotation marks was enough to imply I'm being sarcastic. The wiki has lists of all the categories, so you can see which puzzles are animals, which are fruits, etc. The categories have some logic, but not alot. Especially given the fact, that the programmer is not a native speaker. So if you want to be sure, you better check.
"Obviously" a shrimp is food, not an animal... Zoo Keeper works only on animals. There's a nice wiki, where you can read a list of animal category puzzles http://wikiwiki.jp/pixelo/?PUZZLE%2FAnimal a list of all the badges http://wikiwiki.jp/pixelo/?BADGE and explanations how exp/gold awarding works, including a table of how much gold strange badges like vegetarian award: http://wikiwiki.jp/pixelo/?XPGold . . . Explanation about badges from the developer: http://megusta.tistory.com/34 incl. Plantsman badge
For all those losing data: Please read about flash shared objects and backup your saves. Make sure your browser isn't set to clear data on a regular basis. _ _ _ @kirayamagami: You're right. I think it's the third daily puzzle which is ambiguous.
Click on an empty square to fill and hold "V" key and click to cross out. For keybord controls press space to fill press "X" to cross. Move with arrow keys.
Because you were trying to fill it: You get a time penalty for failed pixels. That is when you're trying to fill a square that's empty in the solution. This gives you a red X. When your putting an X, it gives you a grey X. Maybe the game hasn't registered that you wanted to change from filling (/) to marking X ? If you're playing with mouse you best hold down V when you want to put X. It puts X as long as you hold V down and fills when you release the key.
This game, like most flash games, is saved localy on your computer in the Flash Players Shared Objects folder. You can copy this file and move it to another computer, but the game is not saved on any server.
