Fun game though in some cases the help scroll is no help at all. I tried turning the ice bridge back into a pit for a while. Help scroll says to talk to the head gnome dude. He says "I hope you know how to grow the tree" scroll says put it in a pit. Turns out you have to dig in front of the door. Makes sense after the fact but the help scroll just says to talk to the dude... which I already did.
Apologies for this rare bug, my play-testers and I have frustratingly never been able to reproduce it. If you can send me a shout or PM with your specs (pc, browser, screen mode etc.) I'll have a much better chance to recreate this anomaly and fix it! :)
The game was fun but definitely has some frustrations. Teleport in particular is very finicky and often didn't do what I was expecting. I see people asking for a longer game but if it were much longer I could see those little nit picks getting much larger. The game not overstaying its welcome and leaving us wanting more is an asset, not a downside.
I noped out when I got to the level called paths. Kept falling through a moving platform, it would carry me half way up then I'd fall through. After I finally made it all the way up I jumped into green fire and still died. 3* worth badges if the bugs get fixed but until then it's just frustrating.
Honestly the game wasn't bad. It gives you a steady feed of free stuff to keep you hooked and make the progression not horrible. Unfortunately since it's single player only there's nothing to keep you invested. I kind of want to press on to see what the airport offers but... I just can't be bothered. Got the badges time to go back to the real world.
Grind starts to hit like a truck around the water levels.
Easy grind method: Get gear that seeks out targets and level up the magnet research. Then put your monkey middle bottom area. ctrl+tab and go do something else for 10 minutes then replay. You'll get about 2k/run in the water levels.
So far playing through normal I found I actually prefer making a tanky character and going for the droids that do a ton of collision damage. Most people recommend max damage from your shots but I find the droid rotation gives you more versatility. Health/healing/enough movement speed to do what you need and a defensive skill armor.
Easy easy easy easy wave 30 WALL. I didn't even have to upgrade armor before that level and had to grind wave 30 for a while -.- All done though, just took a little persistence.
Get the elf dude and then just zergling rush the rest of the game. Easy peasy. That 800% increased attack speed skill is OP especially with a lot of basic cheap archers there to shred the enemy.
The game just feels incredibly slow. It's not necessarily bad, just slow. After getting the botd I really have no interest in continuing to play. It's just too slow to grab my attention in the first place. Slow energy build up compared to other games. Additional needless animations that slow things down. It's not a bad game, just too slow to be fun.
May be fun eventually but for now too buggy. I can't buy upgrades so I can't progress. Sometimes I don't gain bloops/money but when I do and select an upgrade it takes my money and doesn't give the upgrade. I'm sure it'll be fun when it's finished though.
Survival wave 40 easy (i broke 100). Now there is an expense factor. You need the unlimited ammo perk and I recommend the auto-magnet perk. Also upgrade tesla and rate of fire to decent levels.
Get a tesla gun then sit on top of any of the 3 sets of mushrooms. Right click while holding down left click so you lose focus. Move your mouse outside of the screen range. Left click once. then move back over the mushroom patch of your choice but don't click. You'll see the tesla gun is auto-firing. Now go do something productive for 30 minutes. You'll have enough money to max out every upgrade when you get back.
