Very fun, somewhat easy/relaxed game. This thing will eat away the clock without you knowing it though. Still seems short/quick enough to not overstay its welcome. It is fun from start to finish and really needs some badges to go along with it. I don't give many games 5* but definitely 5*. Only catch is I don't think it has much replayability. But I don't think it intends to.
A fun game but a couple evident common complaints make the grind less fun around the 2nd badge.
1. Collecting money.
2. Penguin AI, they like to get stuck on obstacles
3. Hotkeys, there aren't any, but there are 4 skills and you're expected to move your mouse around to collect money.
Lots of fun. Bit grindy near the end. Due to the memory leak issue or just number of animations I noticed some lag in the last level. No point playing survival.
Fun and pretty easy until it abruptly isn't anymore. I never did find a good strategy for the blue screaming ghosts that stun you. Found myself in a room with 2 of those and 2 plants that deal over 100 damage with max armor. I walked in it screamed I died. Full to dead with no recourse. Can't block or move while stunned, can't block or dodge the stun. Harder than anything else in the game, including the bosses.
Welcome to grind simulator 101. Here are 3 mini-games you will play until you hate them. Here are 3 more mini-games you will play until you hate them then we'll make you play them some more. Here are 3 more mini-games you'll play until you get bored and find something else to play. I'm sure there are more sets of 3 mini-games but... eh.
There should be a quick end day button. When you're an armadillo going 400mph at 40k feet it takes a bit for you to slow down on your own. I'm trying for the 100 launches and 50 crits.
My apologies to Mr. Snuggles but the sound track was annoying and distracting and took away from the experience rather than adding to it. Enjoyed it much more on mute or with my own music playing.
Those complaining about not enough money. The burglar is your friend. Bring him along and re-do older levels just using your newest melee weapon or bring the reporter and city chief and just pick a spot and end day immediately for quick money.
I agree entirely on the games RNG being completely wrong with its % hit chance but you can still work around it bringing the right roster buddies for the mission. Start with the alien+time traveler to map the entire area right off the start and then bring the burglar+looter and hit all the red (yeah cause money is red not enemies go figure) spots at once to maximize the money gain. The alien shows up late though so have to do some fumbling until then.
The best weapon throughout is the grenade launcher BUT the last boss fight you want the alien ray. Bring the fireman (the boss uses drowsiness) and I went with the veteran but a few combat related roster guys would do well too.
Alright so just a warning to others. I played the whole game as the assassin. This works all well and good up until level 14. 5v1 domination. There's no f'ing way. Grind as commando because the assassin doesn't share his money/exp and it got a lot easier.
I got the achievement just fine when i finished. The only one that threw me off was the dice and the combination code that lights up orange.
There are apparently 2 ways to do it. Hit them in the order the dice say (so the dice that says 1 you hit first, 2 is second etc) alternatively you can hit the buttons in the order the dice are in (so the first dice is 3 so you hit the 3rd button from the left). In hindsight the first way makes more sense... but I did it the second way.
Rage game. I am definitely not the target audience for this. Got the first badge easy enough. Finished drunk level 1 and started normal level 2. Nope. Done. I am not the target audience. I'll go play something that doesn't make me want to kill all the things.
Kind of has a super meat boy feel to it. Particularly near the end with the saws. The enemies are a thing that exist, leveling is a thing that exists, but they matter so little in the game that it's really just a puzzle platformer. Doesn't make it bad, just not what i was expecting based on the tags.
@archerbob If you mean the dudes with the hats that 1 shot you (or pretty close) early on. You can run through them and they only attack ahead of them. I used the staff so my attacks were slow but the enemies were easy to avoid. Sword I can see being brutal before you get knockback.
This game takes a bit to get into but once you're in it is fun. I didn't realize at the start you're supposed to die a LOT. It's all 1 big level. The staff is the hardest weapon to start with but the best by the time you're through the first door (or whenever you get piercing).
Anyone else die from the mouse rolling out of the outside edge of the screen? Desperately needs a full screen mode, cinematic mode doesn't cut it. Still fun though.
Thanks Tasl ;)
