You have to actually click on the red paper to look at the symbols. Otherwise even if you input the correct symbols the lock will not open. Same with the hat, bullet, recycle, badge puzzle and the final code for above the last door.
Nice quick game. Clear hints for every puzzle. If you are stuck you probably need to search the background carefully. There are some easy to miss things to click on.
Difficulty needs to ramp faster. Also game starts lagging quite badly once you get going. An explanation of purchases would be nice. For example, I have no clue what the 500 gold building does.
"Final" boss on 51 can be beaten without cheating. At around 200k Dark Mana using 17 speed ups with a few shields and resurrects to keep your warrior alive while your archer absorbs all the rage spells. I also had all items, and grinding for 3 or 4 days to get 3 bloodlust runes. Sadly you get zero Dark Mana.
I'm really disappointed that enemy strength increases as your strength increases. So if I have 0% warrior ants or 90% warrior ants it doesn't seem to really matter as the enemies just scale with me.
Blindfight: For the "money skills" the upgrade seems to be worth it as far as making gorl is concerned. But the "combat skills" like strength, defense, constitution etc. dont scale in the same way and are much better money makers with no upgrades.
Blindfight: You are incorrect, upgrades do in fact reduce speed and have a negative impact on your money making potential for all your combat skills. With no upgrades Defense earns over 28 gold a second. After 6 or so upgrades it only earns around 8 gold per second.
Hit replay just for laughs and beat it a second time in a row. Either this game got easier or I have really improved my gaming skills over the last year.
I played this game quite some time ago and after a couple hundred tries finally gave up. Because this is the only quest I never completed I tried it again today and won first try. Not sure if the difficulty level was ramped down or what but happy it's over!
It seems like the more you upgrade your skills the less gold you actually earn. Exp scales up enough to make up for the extended time it takes to fill up a skill bar but gold does not.
Good luck! :)
