I guess I would like to understand the rules of what pieces/pawns get replaced when I buy a new piece/pawn. Also, it seems cheap when I am provided 3 pawns with no move available and I am on a 3 damage square all the sudden. Good game though... but wish there were some instructions.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. You never actually buy or replace pieces, you only buy the additional effects to upgrade the cards with. I'll try to communicate that better.
Fun game. 20 was the only level that gave me any trouble at all. I am sure there was a reason for that. My "level 21" is now to find out what made level 20 so special.
Wow. An idle game that you have to sit and watch play itself. Its like watching paint dry or grass grow. I guess this has zero badges because Kong got smart and decided not to?
It's not meant as a game to be the Dungeons and Dragons ruleset, but more to show off the iconic characters from the lore and provide inspiration for stories in your RPG sessions.
Since you asked for more specifics (and I DO play MMO games, and spend money on them... I have 700+ kreds in my current balance that I am using on them)... 1.) The tutorial doesn't actually teach you how to play the game. 2.) the battles are all super easy until a certain point where they suddenly get very hard (ie no linear progression to the game) and it is not clear to the player what they are doing wrong 3.) There are ads for other games in this one, but you don't get any rewards for seeing them. 4.) there are too many popups for premium offers. 5.) everything is too slow... there are too many bottle necks. I just want to play the game but can't because there are too many timers and not enough slots. 6.) I am constantly having the game crash (using Chrome and FF and Edge... I tried all 3). This is apart from more minor things like poor translation, lack of user documentation on how the game works and what things do, inability to experiment without losing resources.
1.) Is thinking in you can see how to use almost all of the items/mechanics of the game, how to play it, is up to you, and become part of the strategy you do in the game. 2.) In your global map, while you open the zones who need less influences points, will give you the more easy enemies of all zones you can open at that time 3.) We remove this top banners or ads, as feedback of the community. 4.) So far you get only 1 popup when you log for the first time in the game. The other, is the calendar daily gift or daily rewards, notification if there is something of that. 5-6.) We have a excellent support in discord for all these problems, there our support guys will help with anything and give also suggestions for avoiding a future crash.
Also, while some games on this site see a small (0.1 or 0.2) point drop on ratings when their game is badged, to see such a huge drop as your game has is not normal (in fact, this game has dropped so much, that it is now in the bottom 15 of all badged games on this site when measured by rating… which says a lot considering how many badged games this site has). In addition the badge hunters on this site are not even sticking around long enough to actually get the badge (which says alot, since we tend to suffer though quite alot to get badges here). Please don't act like there is nothing wrong with your game when there is so many people complaining about it. If you want to ignore the feedback, fine. But when such a significantly large portion of the community offers such a wide range of feedback, don't try to publicly say that the feedback is not valid. In a case like this, the player is always right.
Thank you for your opinion. As you say, Iron Rage is not an easy game and have a learning curve, and for those who rush with these badges, get a hard time. Our community help in making a doc for those who only look for these badges, and you can get both, in hours :). You can check here: https://ironrage.fandom.com/wiki/A_Badge_Seekers_guide_to_Iron_Rage . Also, is easy on Kongregate down the rating of the game, even when some players drop a real feedback, but many others just looking make damage[...] that is well known in any game :)
Wow... this game is just all sorts of bad. Granted, it isn't the type of game I like in the first place, but even for its genre, it seems to miss all the normal things that are generally considered good. Why did this game get badged? I can't be alone in my opinion since the rating of the game has fallen so far since it was badged, and only a small percentage bothered to get the medium badge.
What is "so bad" considering that you don't play these MMO game? About rating, on Kongregate is easy to make damage to any rating game, if these types of players want that. We are not the first one, and for sure will not the last game who happen this :). Anyway, we do not care for the rating, is enough with our community know what they know so far :). Thank you for your opinion.
Also, bots don't try to kill each other, they only try to kill you. Which is silly. If they are suppose to mimic a human player (and their purpose was to fill the screen because you didn't have any other humans playing), then they should behave just like a human player and also be trying to kill all the other avatars on the screen. It also seems the bots take 2 hits to kill (vs your 1 hit). They don't tend to get up after you hit them after they get up once. If this is intended, that needs to be made more obvious. Also, clicking the attack button while attacking cancels your attack. Attacking while you are already attacking should do 1 of 2 things: nothing OR queue one attack after your current attack is over.
Thank you very much for your in-depth feedback. I'll clarify in the intro that bots take 2 hits to kill. I'll also give you +1 health for every bot you kill. You only transform at night, and it only turns night after 45 seconds ... perhaps you never transformed because you didn't play long enough? I could shorten the day/night cycle.
I like your solutions to the attack animation canceling problem, I will implement one of them. Which do you think is best? I think queuing a new attack makes more sense.
The reason bots don't attack each other is because I thought that would allow you to just hide in a corner until they eliminated themselves. But if you insist on mutual bot-on-bot bloodshed I will implement that also.
Thanks again for your detailed feedback.
Oh one last thing. On the intro screen, you scroll up or down to increase or decrease the number of bots that spawn (minimum 1, maximum 60). I can change that to up and down arrows to click on if you think that's better.
Ok - I finally actually killed something. My kill count did not increase and the soldier just got back up after a second (which might have been because I died shortly after).
-----Feedback Part 1 of 2----------- Now that I can play, here is my feedback: -- 1.) the controls are horrible. If you attack with the mouse, use something else to move (WASD and arrow keys are common). Also attacking stops your movement to the spot you clicked on. -- 2.) It is difficult to find your avatar sometimes at the start of matching (everyone is the same and the arrow is not always visible, especially if your avatar is behind a tree or something). -- 3.) After playing 10 times, I still haven't killed anything. The bolts that are on the into screen don't work (at least the middle button didn't work for me... also, not everyone has a middle button), and while I am confident that I hit a bot on a click, I have never killed one. -----To be continued.---------
