a lot of the levels suffer from "mysterious hole" syndrome, where there is a hole in the existing design that fits exactly the piece you have only one of.
To anyone having trouble with level 11(all jetpacks): the key is to hold the bases, not just to have them. You only get reinforcements when you hold bases for a while, so focus on keeping what you have. Take all the easy bases (defense 2) and wait 5 seconds. Reinforce whatever is under attack BEFORE it is taken. Eventually, the computer soaks most of its units into taking those neutral towers with defense 10. Just take them back as soon as it does(with like 7 or 8 to spare, not 2 or 3) + if it helps
You can just hold down the kick button and enemies can't touch you, at least from the front. When they get behind you, you just slide kick them and turn around. Even works on bosses. Especially good when they are pinned against a wall.
anyone who is seriously impaired at this game: you can cheat and do the poor man's slo-mo - just pause, then unpause and pause again really quickly. I found it to be the only way to get past level 4
An even worse problem in level 5 is that the archers pile at an unhittable point for the enemy, creating an unstoppable stack. Then, they kill your worker, who is harvesting way too close to them, and proceed to rip you to shreds.
not sure it's a bug, but ambush only works on one guy, so if you set pull to 2 or just draw an extra, ambush won't trigger. I tried to ambush 3 lower levels at a time, didn't work.
i've noticed that the game runs slow when it is in another window or tab, approximately 1/6 as fast. Is this the same as the bug in the beta w/ flash player that prevented people from idling while doing something else? Can it be fixed?
Strategy to win:
Build a giant mountain in the middle of the enemy's territory. The enemy can't build on the sloped surface, so all the houses are destroyed and his build rate goes down. Keep your side level, prevent his guys from getting close, and outlast him.
Wait, why can you still see someone moving around through the window after you've put him to sleep? Maybe the demon went to the wrong basement and this is all a big misunderstanding.
Priest/High Priest: Most important unit in the game. Very important on the level with a gold limit. This is because healing doesn't cost anything. Dead units cost money to replace.
Footman/Maceman/Captain/General: Almost the same, stack these to protect the back.
Knight: Almost worthless, runs out and gets killed fast. Useful only as a more powerful maceman, for killing large stacks with monks.
Ranged: Generally the same, only good for a little more power to kill large stacks.
Strategy: Just train lots of monks and a couple infantry to protect them. This stalls when the enemy does the same thing. You will then need ranged units or better infantry. However, as long as you have enough monks to keep the front line alive, this can be kept up forever. Also, it's free, so you can use your gold to upgrade.
Ridiculously overpowered: Burning Hill, Chaos Desert, Great Sea
Burning Hill has increase special, second round kill
If you play Chaos Desert correctly, enemy loses special, allows you to win everything but Burning Hill. Also, has overpowered Chaos Desert Orb.
Great Sea can counter and kill enemy, wins all but Burning Hill and Chaos Desert
lol you win ties
I just had a sea mage send my gigantic fire ball back at me and i was like oh ****
then I hit him with higher fireballs and killed him. He did like 1280, I did like 55, somehow I won
How does selling symptoms work anyway? "Oh my God! Oh my God! He's hemhorraging! Someone help us! Wait, what's that you say? He just stopped? Oh, OK, never mind then."
President Bush: Really? There's a virus that's inside every human being that doesn't hurt us?
Person: Yes, it's called E coli.
President Bush: Oh God, shut everything down! Shut it all down now!
Person: Um, Mr. President, E coli doesn't hurt humans.
President Bush: It doesn't matter! Shut it all down!
um, yeah...
on my 10th try, I made it to 60, but it still took me back to the upgrade screen and told me I had earned 61 seconds of time. Should be fixed.
