Wait, lol. Before Billy came to the door, Ari had half an hour until school. After we're done with him, she's already late by half an hour. Did we just debate with a salesman over his deer repellent FOR AN HOUR?
FFS, just find or hire a decent coder already. There are tons of freelancers out there , and even simply fixing memory leaks would make your games much, much more playable - currently it's just a chore to earn badges and refresh every few turns so it doesn't lag that bad. Speaking of which, kongregate should NOT give badges to games coded that poorly, IMO. Not the first time I see that happen, always as frustrating.
I keep hitting TAB instinctively, waiting for autocomplete to kick in... I've been working in bash for too long, I guess :3 That aside, please make it so that cursor can be moved with left and right arrows/home and end keys.
Facing first fast turns I thought "if only rhythm games could use both mouse buttons just like 'OSU!' does". And then I understand it's Unity, not Flash, and try it, and it actually WORKS. That's when you got your 5/5 :3 Though I must say it would be nice to have a setting to turn flashing background off - kinda hurts my eyes after a workday. Sure, I can play with eyes closed, but I need to pass the level and hear the melody first.
Crystals and crafting make this game so imbalanced, even without bothering to actually buy those crystals, just getting them normally. Even crafting for 2 crystals can bring you items dozens of levels above what you currently have. Common/uncommon doesn't even matter that much - after catching lv25 iron plastron my hero has more HP than my ship. Items in shop also adapt to your equipment, so when you craft something high-level, you get near-equal items in shop for the same category, which cost more that you can accumulate for 25 levels, and by time you do that, you already craft things much more powerful... The worst thing, though, is that levels are WAY too easy and boring. I kinda wish there was a way to make levels harder, and more fast-paced, but more rewarding.
Opera 12 and Chrome 36.0.1985.143m both show black screen after preloader. Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 installed. Needs either a fix or removal of BotD for kongpanion...
Grrr. The only thing that gets me consistently is incoming arrows right after a tree branch. Is it even possible to pass? The game doesn't seem to react at A right after ducking.
Is there any point in buying the ability twice? The game doesn't explain if you're just wasting skill points on that, or the ability is improved in some way.
Ok, so out of curiosity I decided to visit the wiki to understand how all those parameters actually influence the gameplay... and got 404. And there's no sign of wiki at your website either. Really, wth. How am I supposed to know what "tactics" gives me? Or what parameters are crucial to melee/archer/magic? Either restore your wiki or give a quick in-game help.
Moral of the story: You never touch a man's beard. NEVER.
That said, please make minigame respond to mouse-down, not mouse-up, it feels incredibly unresponsive otherwise. Also, the tutorial in the main menu seems to cover things which were excluded in the last update.
Closing your eyes while you play ACTUALLY HELPS. Talk about immersion. 5/5, and the concept should be expanded into something full and more interactive.
Heck, your game made me play Ace Attorney series, that alone is enough for a fav. But you know what, I think you managed to outshine your inspiration in some aspects - like much faster pace and shifting to "battle of wits" plane. Actually, it reminds me more of a certain crying seagulls visual novel than of AA :3
Same with bull testes. What the hell, I stocked up knowing it's the last mission, and can't even use any?
More precise info: after pressing on an item name, game slows down severely, no item use animation is running, then a balloon 'used ' shows up slowly and vanishes; After that I can do nothing except mute the sound, the rest of the interface doesn't respond.
Why does the game keep setting the quality to minimal level during the battle? Where the hell are settings to change that - or rather, where are any settings, besides mute buttons? And overall, the game is way too unpolished: even not taking the bad balance into account (let's just consider it a tribute to old-school hardcore), you went overboard with fonts (banco as default? Spare the players' eyes), and you have typos and errors in every second sentence. Seriously, I'm noticing these even though I'm not a native speaker. Come on, at least find a proofreader before you demand real money for 'premium items'.
...Sigh. What a shame, it looked so promising.
We're working on autocompletion and left-right. It's not that simple, actually. Stay tuned :)
