Most of these conserns was raised when this game was in the beta section, cleary the Developers ignore what we think and launches the game anyway. This was a premature launch, as this game would be alot better if the Points raised in these comments was actually taken to heart, instead of ignored to rush launch a halfassed game.
And to you Arche22... I am among those players that actually do spend Money on games, mostly to support games I enjoy. Keeping People playing increase the chance of them using real Money. Keep them hooked, give them what they want, and People like me will spend Money on it. Piss them off and they will not. energy system is a horrible way of getting Money, as you piss off 100 People for each person you get to pay. I support games that makes me happy, not those who make me angry. Telling me no you can't keep on playing make me angry.
First of all... who are these hidden energy system fans? All I see in the comments are People bitching about energy systems and pay to win. Rating posts negative because they bring up Points that most of Kongregate community agree upon is just plain silly.
Now.... The game was AWESOME, I loved everything about it apart from, yep.. you guessed it the energy system. Why do you restrict us from enjoying the awesomeness? I want to play this game for hours and hours. The energy system keep me from awesomeness and it makes me grumpy. Please remove it or give us enough energy for at least 3-4 hours of gameplay on both campaign and pvp. You have started something differenent and great here. Keep up the good work!
The Food system is brutal, and isn't really neccesary, as you allready got building timers and roman helmets as currency. As it stand today all it does is to drive People away from the game as you can't do diddly squat before you run out of Food. It's a great Return to my childhood heroes, and I love Clickandpointix. My advice to the Developers is to remove the Food system, or at least expand it so you get to actually play for a more than 10 minutes.
Here are my 5 cents, If you want to boost the popularity of this game, I recommend removing the energy system completely. It's silly, make you appear greedy, and generally provoke the players. Second, make option to speed up the fight. That skip button take way to long to appear. Generally make everything go alot faster, remove all the unneccesary waiting times. Again, the main purpose to make everything take forever is to encourage people to buy stuff from you and make you appear greedy. Third, upgrade the graphics radically. The graphics are not horrible, but appear outdated. This game got potentional to be very fun, but it need some serious improvements.
the Things you do is all well and good, but a huge turndown that overshadow everything else in this game are the timers. I have just started playing and I have to deal With timers on 1-2 minutes before I can start a mission at lvl 3? How will the timers be when I lvl up? This is rubbish, and as it stand now I will not play this game.
My main problem is not that you can buy advantages, because that is the case With most games that follow the recipee that this game do. My issues are different. Allthough the art is beautifull, there is still very little that seperate this game from the competitors, that are in most cases stronger and more solid than this game. A major turnoff is the timer on the skills. That's just riddiculous. The classes are little inspirering, it's the same as all the others. I am sad to say that this have been done before, alot better. Try to think outside the Box NeXT time. We want New innovative classes With New innovative skills, The artwork is beautifull, but we want New styles we haven't seen before. We want games where you can buy Cosmetic changes and improvements not game changing, and we do not want timers of any kind. Timers are stupid, and turn People away from games instead of keeping them in the game and increasing the chance of them spending Money on ingame articles.
First impressions. I started out reading the tutorial, (highly recommended to all new players). If you first read the tutorial, and follow the ingame tutorial you will be able to get your city going. I want to support the points that GiorgosT2 brings out regarding the complexity. So far so good I am entertained. This game is different enough from the competition, but not so complicated and overwealming that I can't keep up. I think I will be playing this for quite a while.
short update, I am well into lvl 8 and I managed to somehow stimulate the marked by moving merchantice around with no profit, and I after 2 lvls of grinding managed to find the last sertificate I needed in a depot. Still not happy about how long it took, but happy that I can now advance the game.
I've tested out this game for a while now, and I find if fun and quite addictive. However it's quite a harsh grind to get up from lvl 6 to I don't know how long untill I get my next flight pass so I can progress in the game. It's in my opinion a little early to halt the progress and enforce grinding. It's not helping the monotony that my marked has collapsed completely so I can't break the variation with trading. I got tons of cash and nothing to spend it on.
never encountered any invisible zombie, however I found that the automatic guns were very usefull when you got swarmed. I had more trouble after clearing mission 5 or 6 that after all the zombies were dead nothing happened. Nice time filler, and I don't regret trying this, however as it stand now I doubt I would invest much time in it. It was fun, but got old real fast. More creativity in the lvls, different angles at different lvls and bigger playing field would make it better.
Still loving this game, however I can't for the life of me figure out why the devs STILL haven't removed the energy system. In my mind the longer a player stays on the better the odds are that he get hooked, and hooked players are more likely to spend money on the game. The way it works now I only get pissed off when I run out of energy and go do something else.
I assume this is a test of game mechanics, and that you plan to release a more polished version in the future, and I will treat it as such in this comment. As far the game mechanincs goes, I could not find any bugs, I played untill I got 120ish points. The movements were fluent and the hero was easy to control. I am curious to where you will take this and how the finished product will look. I assume you will brush up the graphics eventually. If you are going for a pure action game I would suggest more powerups that boost various skills (Shoot faster, do more damage, set zombies on fire, melt zombies with acid, freeze zombies with first bullet, then shatter them etc. etc. I think creative buffs and powerups will make this game stand out from the crowd. You should also regulary change playing field. Small but constant variations keep the game from getting to repetitive. I wish you the best of luck.
Fun consept, graphics need alot of work. how about introducing skills to the zombie master the ability to command the pack instead of just letting them roam free and solve the lvls for you? Think Big, make it an open world with lots of quests where you fight for territories and the humans fight back. Make it a crossbread between strategy and action. And finally, please add a mute sound option for those of us that play at work, hehe.
This has actually potentional to be alot of fun. Allthough the gameplay is quite simular to Solarmax 2. You need to do something about that, because the way it is now if you went against it as a direct competitor you would loose. Try to weave in some history, create factions, introduce resources that you get on some planets but not all for example. Bring more depth to this and you might have a winner.
First impression of this game is not to good. The gameplay itself is allright, and I didn't really find any game breakers, but the graphics is outdated and the concept is overused. We want kickass graphics and customisation options where we can sit and tweak for hours, and we a new twist, so we don't feel that we have done this before.
My first impression of this game is quite positive. The list of things that I like here is longer than usual on beta games here in Kongregate. I like that you got no restriction on how much the player can play, I love the gameplay, and I really like that you can upgrade and make units stronger. The game is fun and addictive and easy to get into. You are off to a great start here guys, and I am curious in what direction you will take the game next and how it will develope as I lvl up.
This is my initial thoughs on this game so far, I have pretty much just started testing it out. I agree with Atari Kid that you are left a little to clueless at the start of the game. Now I did eventually stop and read the instructions to the game, that btw were easy to understand. I like the graphics, and the menu's are easy to manouver. However What I would like the game to tell me from the start is this. Where does this game seperate itself from the competition, and why should I play this game instead of those very simular to this that is allready out there? How a bout a teaser video of high end gameplay, of warfare or whatever you think makes this game THE game to play.
Yes, I do understand what you're saying about the introduction. We do have a trailer for the game on our landing page but because of the different registration process here it had to be skipped. You can have a look at it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XElsBDUJveU Why should you pick this game instead of others? Of course its all down to personal preference mainly. I can tell you our gameplay is quite proven over the years now. Imperia Online exists for 9 years now and the basics of this particular version can be traced back to the very first versions. Its a real evolutionary thing this. We've spent a lot of time balancing and tweaking the details. This one brings something special with the introduction of the dynasties which help achieve this sense of real life happening in the empire and a lot of uniqueness for each player. Hope this comment didn't get too long.
