Thought-provoking game that may or may not have pretty deep strategy. Either way, its pretty entertaining. The online is implemented horribly though: There is no need for the ready button which makes a majority of games unplayable because someone hasn't hit ready, and there should not be an option to do 3x3 boards.
This game perplexes me. Gameplay is pretty good except for the huge amount of empty space traversed after aliens have been destroyed. I played the whole game under the impression that there was a twist ending . . . only to find there was none. Perhaps that is the twist in itself? I was expecting something reminiscent of "You destroyed all the natural life, ecosystem collapses" or perhaps something less anvilicious, other than simply "humans colonize planet! Yay!" Basically what I and some other commenters are trying to say is that the whole game seem engineered to have a good twist ending, and then didn't.
Regardless, the game was enjoyable and pretty well done. To understand kinda what I mean by "twist ending" I would recommend playing the excellent platformer in this vein "e7" and to see really good metriodvania style gameplay, obviously play the "Robot Wants" series. 4/5 overall.
4/5. The control scheme is really good just like the last one and the puzzles are just as intuitive and stimulating. It would nice if you said in game what the restart button was. Overall really good!
4/5. Awesome art and an interesting story. Very well done in a genre notorious for really poorly done games. The only reason I don't give it a five is because the scrolling for the story and text is annoying - when you let go of the scroll button, the text pops back to the top.
I completed this game a while ago and was pleasantly surprised to see it updated. Still just as fun as the first time. I loved the original music so much and I'm glad that the skip song button allows you to go back to it, but at the same time, I like a couple of the new tracks so Its better. The game is longer, some of the frustrating levels seemed to be revamped, and its overall still an awesome game! Still a 5/5, well done.
4/5. Surprisingly good for an adult swim game. The only thing that loses this game a point is the really, really annoying robotic voice that plays when you die. Seriously. Also, controls can be vaguely frustrating, and the last level was annoying albeit doable. So overall, very good.
A little perplexing at times, but definitely excellently designed. Although I personally did not find it difficult, I found it clever, atmospheric, and very very fun. Unfortunately, Its understandable that if you can't figure out any of the potential parts where you could get very stuck, the game would be frustrating and impossible. But as an avid gamer who quickly figured out that 1) I was being lied to and 2) If its not the arrow keys, then it therefore must be wasd, I found the game massively enjoyable. I can only say 5/5 for awesome platforming bliss.
I have no clue how this is similar to Galaxy. All the 3-d does is lag the game since it has no actual use. Tower climbing is mind-numbingly repetitive and the worst way to do platforming, since you can misstep and fall way back to the start. 2/5.
I love the original castle wars to death and like many others have said, this game drops all of the original's charm and good interface in favor or looking nicer. I think the towers should grow WAY taller and the cards DEFINITELY should have had rollover text or something better than the horrible implementation they have here. If there ever is a castle wars three, I expect much better than this. 2/5.
Great design, music, and style, not so hot on the development. The controls are pretty darn bad and sometimes I just the complete opposite of the way I intended. Although the game in concept is beautiful, it needs some polish on the controls. 3/5.
5/5. Some people complain about last few levels, none of them seemed too hard, in fact, just the right level of difficulty. Such a fun, short, simple, and well designed platformer.
