I can;t stand games like this; complete linear play/upgrades, with NO ingenuity, basically it just reaches a point where it is likely just shy of impossible (Niigata), do you even play your own game?!
Great set-up, but the balance as compared to similar style games is a little off, I had all upgrades extremely early, the difference they made felt slight and somewhat disappointing, and for the all the work you did on making such a large map you should add missions and upgrades to continue the fun.
I love the systematic progression and upgrading of a game in this vein (get it? mining...vein, nvm) it's gonna keep me busy for a solid couple of hours...thanks!
My summary of this game: punt a mime into the nearest obstacle such as a baby stroller, immediately followed by a denser-than-than dark matter trash can instastop...horray! traveled 20 meters. Ease up on the obstacles
Ok, almost done with the game, when all I need is usually just my hero tower, with an occasional poison tower added for insurance, and end each level with a perfect score and several thousand dollars extra cash, it is just too easy and thereby boring.
Poison tower is a little overpowered, and the upgrade screen is unintuitive. It took me three levels before I realized I had to use the hero tower to get upgrade points. Also it says "Upgrade 200" on the upgrade button, but then as far as I can tell takes 1 upgrade point per upgrade.
Do not upgrade your speed maximum until your little speedometer is redlining, as there are achievements that require you to hit your max speed, and if the max is already upgraded it can be quite difficult
it has the making of a great game, yet lacks some sort of cohesiveness that makes me want to keep playing, i think that the black star is just to harsh, and add a jet pack or some more prominent form of horizontal propulsion
not sure what I am doing wrong, after 14 days i have only five survivors (1 fatality) they all are useless, even the ones with a skill of 3 in fighting, only shoot 1 to 2 zombies for the entire wave. I have only three guns. I put my three best survivors in the search party, but obviously to no avail as most days I get nothing. Has no sense of progress.
Biggest flaw, and the reason I won't play again is that I can get all the way to the last wave (which at the speed allowed seems to be an investment of 10-15 minutes) only to lose and gain...NOTHING!. Needs a consolation prize, credit for time spent.
how to win: put a mage (girl) on the bottom row in the back, an archer above her and one soldier down. Only upgrade soldier when he is about to die as this restores health, upgrade mage asap until you can change her job to fire mage, at this point upgrade archer until he can change to hunter (red hair) continue upgrading hunter as his rate of fire will increase drastically, max him out. Then max out the fire mage and the solider. Add more archers, either a bunch of 1st levels, or one at a time upgrading to the max (doesn't matter). In between rounds only upgrade the grinning dragon wand, at first it will only increase mana gana by i point every couple of levels up, around level 25 it will also drastically increase and the game is cake, besides your soldier no one should take any damage.
Upgrade your grinning dragon staff first (So far I have upgraded only the staff, now at level 25) and the game is really easy, don't waste stars on the units upgrades
