@Okaybmd There is more to the challenges than just to beat your best time (you can see the time on the challenge screen, btw). You also are rewarded randomly with skills, even if you don't beat your best time.
@Sparky969 Don't forget to do the endless mode in between the challenges, to strengthen your tries. At around 90 minutes or less you'll get a "good" rating, which unlocks the trillion challenge.
@Ameliaa I came to this game because of the assumption that it wouldn't be another clicker. I loved that it had a long cooldown. But due to the changes and to your explanations it is now more than ever dependent on an endless series of clicks (=> autoclicker).
I am still in the very same game I described last time. After 66 hours I am now at 69 billion gps. My gpc is 113 billion. My crit chance is 0.32, my crit power is x5.6, max critical hits in a row 10. So far I've produced 1.7 quadrillion through clicking and 1.2 through crits.
That all has nothing to do with the point I was making: It isn't a satisfying gaming experience if you click in order to increase your gps and don't get a significant amount.
Just imagine the crits wouldn't have a x5.6 factor, but something like 1.05 And each time you research crit power, it gives you 0.01. That's a similar situation to what I meant :)
@jarofed You already answered to Arnpop, but I would like to add a practical example for you to understand better the disappointment: I'm currently in endless mode. My gps is 55.364 billion. It takes a minute to get 3 trillion gold, but my next Mine upgrade needs 178 trillion. I'm bound to the current Mines for quite some time. So, let's click? Well, one click raises gps from 55.364 to 55.365 billion! That's so neglectable it is like you're laughing at us. My cooldown is 1.8 seconds, so to raise the gps by just 0.1% (55 million) will take 99 seconds of constant clicking. For an outcome of 0.1% more. Think further: We're already at over 16 minutes of constant(!) clicking for just 1% more gps. And that all while the researches go up by 100%. That's just not a satisfying gaming experience. Maybe remove clicking completely as it is not really a factor for this game. And we don't feel disappointed by something that doesn't exist ;)
@KillerCyborg For me it's exactly that. I use the bonuses in the challenges, because time matters there and I don't need to go that high that I would face the wall where upgrade cost would be higher than gold production. I don't touch them at all in endless mode, since it is more important there to have a chance of upgrading than it is to make it in time.
You should first unlock "Pit" like you did with "Mine". It can be unlocked either by finishing billion challenge or by finishing trillion challenge. The chance to unlock from billion challenge is random. The chance to unlock it from trillion challenge - 100%.
I like that you have that large cooldown between clicks. You quickly realize that this game is not about using an auto-clicker and win, but using the upgrades/shards and gold wisely. Finally an idle game where auto-clickers are out of the game while still being joyful. Thanks!
@doodiiidoo, I see it similar. At least it doesn't matter that you lose money because of the cap, since the engines you can add are also capped (x16 is max). Still, this is a beta at most, and the caps are strange, to say the least.
I just got to overmind 6 (1.4QaQd), but there seems to be no overmind 7, is that right? Is that the preliminary end of the game? And if so, will there be more content in the future? You see, I'm almost panicking, because I didn't expect to reach an end in this game.
@Justavian, even with 1.2q (via 100% DPS buff) I still needed Fire Storm and a front of 3 Grypho healed heros to get passed 70. Also, the curve is very steep now. You will have no issue with 600t at 71 but can't manage 72 even with 1q. In short: The farther you get, the longer the grinding ;)
@TRWSNinjakiwi: I just created my first ever overmind (oh, what a joy!). However, I was at my 10th ascension, when I realized, I'm doing something terribly wrong. After having asked for explicit help, I followed the tips exactly, needed 2 free respecs to do so. Now I'm in my 14th ascension, but have 5 instead of former 2 mutations, 1500 achievement points instead of former 900, and am close to my next ascension, which will bring me the next 2 mutations (or even 3, I'm bad at math). It really is about optimizing energy/swarmwarp. - Told this to show, that even the worst play (10 ascensions, 2 mutations!) can benefit greatly from optimization
You should first unlock "Pit" like you did with "Mine". It can be unlocked either by finishing billion challenge or by finishing trillion challenge. The chance to unlock from billion challenge is random. The chance to unlock it from trillion challenge - 100%.
