The amount you get paid is almost impossible to start with. I have to constantly buy new shoes, and that's almost all I spend my money on. You can't sleep apparently, so your energy is always low. The beginning of the game needs a lot of work.
Tournaments should also add to whichever skills they used. Money is essentially worthless. On that note, money could also be used to buy more skills than energy. Because honestly the minigames aren't that difficult, they're just annoying. This game feels like the developer is a) inattentive and b) someone who doesn't play video games.
How does this game have a 4.13? That is an insult to games that are actually good. This one is just addictive. The minigames are boring (jumping in particular. Whoever thought of those games never actually tested playing them to lvl 100), repetitive, and necessary. This game doesn't deserve more than a 2.8
@8Ryan8: It's because you're computer can't handle it going faster. I have a pretty shitty laptop, and whenever I use focus sight the fast forward stops working, because the entire game is slowing down. Ironically, deactivating fast forward makes it easier for the computer to handle, so while it might slow down a little bit, it probably wouldn't be noticeable. Fast forward does work though.
@Rhinogamer in "best" comments. I agree it's pretty much the same game, and that the clairvoyant AI makes it less like going against an opponent and more like going against a computer, but it also is a really useful tactical tool... and one that I personally wouldn't complain about. It does make the game easier though.
*sigh* No speed up button, and my save data got erased with the update. Not worth playing until there are badges, because it's a simple tower defense, nothing especially exciting. 2/5 because I'm annoyed that my file got erased, but minus the anger, 3/5 because it's meh.
With all the sitting around and waiting for money, this game needs more than a x4. That might just be because I refuse to expand upwards with a bowling alley (seriously, a bowling alley above rooms, or a cafe, or an internet lounge? No), and thus I needed 350,000 dollars to expand out for it.
This game is pretty well coded, except for jumping and the slide on the last spirit level. I can't tell you how many times I've been running, hit space, and nothing happened. That slide also needed to have those blocks higher. The slide gets stuck sometimes, while speeding through others. Other than that, great game play. I like the idea behind the game a lot, too, but my religious self and philosophical self are somewhat separate, and many of these questions I felt had nothing to do with philosophy (is there an after life? My answer to that has nothing to do with my answer to philosophical questions).
Even if this doesn't win the monthly award, it should get an award of some kind. Not the best game on Kongregate, since it's more like an app, but it is fantastic and adds a lot to the website.
It's long, it's boring, the story is unoriginal, and the game play is unimaginative. The animation isn't even worth us watching, and it should just skip over that period since it's not like we can react until after the battle scene anyway. The enemy scale isn't difficult, but all you need is high MP, blood siphon, and a high damage attack. Bam, game over, but you still have to beat 500 enemies that are exactly the same, except for one thing: health. As a final insult to the player, not only do the battles get more boring, they get longer. This game does not deserve badges.
As a side not, I've played other Lethal RPGs, and they were much better.
Thank you!
