Of course the second I post that it starts using fireball and freezing wind and kills things. Still, the fact that I've had it for a few fights now and just started being useful is a little annoying, and probably stems from it having too many powers. It really only needs 2 awesome ones.
sub zero needs some fixing. It never successfully hits anything, including minions. The demon summon in general is pretty weak, and needs to be better for how much mana it costs and how long it takes to get.
Ugh, level grinding. Got through the entire game pretty easily without worrying about being -4 or 5 at times, aaaaand then the final boss. Level grinding rage quit.
This is quite possibly the worst developed game on Kongregate I've ever played. Missing should only be possible at the beginning when you haven't had practice, and then maybe 1/10. MAYBE. The zombies can get too close and hit you, and then even your melee weapons start to become ineffective. You cannot save your companions when they fall. And worst of all, zombies respawn seconds after you kill them and walk away. While it does make the game more difficult, it also just makes it frustrating. This game needed TONS of work before being posted.
That being said, the idea was awesome. Starting off with classes and such was really cool, and I like the story. It's just the game play that's terrible.
I'd say the only downside to the game is that you cannot reset your skills at any given time. Each level requires a different strategy, which would mean upgrading different units. Pretty sure I have to start the whole game over because I can't reset my skills and have my points in a very bad position for level six.
Actual realistic mode: Your disease has no indication of existing, no one does anything. Then when everyone on the planet has it, it takes years (virus), decades (bacteria) or several millennium, centuries at best (parasite), for your disease to acquire detrimental effects.
Depending on the complexity of your disease, a cure would take significantly longer. If it's a virus, very few cures actually exist for viruses, since they live inside of the host cells. Bacteria have plasmids that can mutate at much higher rates and cause resistance to antibacterial drugs. If the entire world is infected, pretty much gg world. Parasite... gg. A cure for a parasite wouldn't take nearly as long as the detrimental effects would take to evolve.
My problems with Realistic mode being called realistic in a nutshell. It should be called: Everyone in the world is a high functioning paranoid schizophrenic... mode. Who else would close borders for a "disease" that has no harmful effects or symptoms at all?
I'll agree with everything Ragnarokio says except for stay at the bottom of the screen for the yellow bombs and move in a circle for the last level. If you're having difficulty on those, try staying in the upper middle of the screen for the yellow, and for the last level, move in a square. When the bombs go, move horizontally, when the walls clap, move vertically.
The Power Smashes are a little ridiculous. He has to hit the ground first. You can't hit him whenever he's level with you're weapon. I've seen my weapon go through him instead of hitting him, and then that only slows him down and causes this weird glitch that essentially causes him to stop. Other than that, pretty fun, but repetitive. 4/5
I've medaled in everything but Rescue 1 and Cut Power 5. Any suggestions on medaling on these? I've gone as fast as possible (literally, fastest legs and gone straight to the civilians), and killed everything. What is the scoring based on?
So the AI is also retarded. You should be able to control the other members. They have cost me a battle on more than one occasion because of their stupidity (like attacking instead of healing even in phalanx).
The walkthrough also shows what, at least to me, seems to be a very rare shot for Hatsworth Castle. I can't get it down, and the super bomb isn't working with only one shot @.@
