the precision is a huge issue. i get that these games are supposed to be challenging and the precision is part of that challenge, just like in real life versions of these type of puzzles. but unlike real life, in this game we can only pull pieces alone the X Y and Z axises, not in any sort of angle. either reduce the precision required or allow us to pull in any direction we wish
i cannot explain how much i hate games that use a diagonally aligned map with a movement system based on direction in relation to said map. especially since there is no uniformity between any of these games, W or ^ could be up and to the right in one game but up and to the left on another. it makes the games needlessly frustrating.
glitch: i completed the game and went back to the level select screen and it said i hadnt done levels 11 and 12. so i went back and did them and now the wave bomb upgrades are locked. ive tried playing later levels but it doesnt help.
for the noses you can use the parents noses behind it and find the color in the middle. but going from left to right, top to bottom its just 1,2,3, and 4 clicks to get the right color.
people dont need to have developing experience to know what they do and do not like. yes it would be helpful if they explained their reasons for finding the game bad, boring, stupid, etc but not everyone is going to do that. the fact you make such an angry and defensive comment before anyone has even had a chance to try your game shows me that even you think the game is not very good. if you are trying to get people to be more gentle with their comments and ratings you should try saying something like "this is one of my first games, im still learning how to do a lot of things." people are much more likely to take into consideration someones feelings when the person explains their situation. if you attack them for no reason you are pretty much guaranteed to get more negative remarks, more people not even wanting to play your game, and much more 1/5s even from those who havent played the game simply because of your attitude.
an idea for making life actually worth getting: set up a reverse level up system for happiness/resources, so that the happier they are/more rescources they collect the quicker they grow happiness/recources. that way instead of it being just as effective to make several guys with short lives as it is to make fewer guys with long lives it will allow the longer living guys to gain exponentially more happiness/rescources than the shorter living guys. overall making the whole game easier and faster.
so... let me see if i got this right. your girlfriend was verbally abusive to you on a fairly regular basis. you two finally separate but for some reason you want to go right back into this. as you yourself call it, abusive relationship. then, much to no ones surprise, she goes back to verbally abusing you. then you finally grow a pair and she leaves you. and this is supposed to be a bad thing? then in the game you kill yourself. clearly that isnt the case in real life, but you did the next best thing kill yours and thousands of other peoples free time with a slow, boring, tedious game with annoying sounds and an 8-bit silhouette style which i can only assume is a bad attempt to pass this game off as another typical 'game-as-art' style game that typically has some slow building but interesting message, which yours doesnt have. so aside from wasting everyones time you have damaged the games-as-art genre just by trying to imitate them.
@zag24: there is nothing to indicate that the girl is related to the old man. just like the witch wasnt related to the old couple she worked for when she was younger (child of a witch 2)
i feel like an equally appropriate name for this would be 'Addiction.' Because the speed changes based on the number of squares you are near i feel scared to be away from them and the more i am near and the longer i am near more the more i feel scared to be with less. and then when i find myself without any i usually rush into some to try to "get my fix" and that usually leads to my downfall.
the leeroy jenkins video is a fake. it was proven fake a long time ago. it was made purely for 'teh lulz.' and regular coca-cola + mentos = nothing much bigger than backing soda and vinegar, its diet coke that makes the big pretty geysers.
when you exit rage mode you automatically have the first weapon out instead of the weapon you were using before entering rage mode. and turning off sound effects does not silence the reload. please fix these bugs. other than that, this game seems excellent so far.
great game overall. you should make the gun/shield tabs more obvious, i made it almost all the way through world 1 before i realized there was a shield shop. the ares is awful. its only real use is crowd clearing, but its small clip and slow reload make it bad for large crowds. increase clip and/or reload, maybe add rebound otherwise it isnt worth the money.
i like the concept but there is a lot more that could be done with it. varied enemies would be the best place to start. they could be ufos shooting rockets and you use the magnets to push/pull the rockets off course and use the magets to pull apart the ufos metal body and force the aliens inside to eject. or maybe the ufos shoot lazers straight down continuously and you are pulling them away. upgrades would be great: stronger magnets, stronger base defenses, maybe a shield for the base or auto turrets, possibly mines that you can place before a level. the graphics are very plain not that thats necessarily bad. 2.5/5 right now but it has a lot of potential.
