The only thing I hate about this series is how hard Undefined has tried to make warriors irrelevant. Mages are vastly more powerful than warriors and not only because they can hit flying and are ranged.
I'm not saying that this is worse or better, but this is pretty much up there with Mardek. If Mardek was put into a full-game, and some day the developer pseud, will be able to that (hopefully), this is what it would be the equivalent of. Putting little fun side-quests or the 'fetch quest' (It was fun in Mardek Ch.3)would be interesting. I understand if that wouldn't fit because this has a more serious theme to the game, but adding more side-quest or optional bonus-rewarding stuff would be interesting. Currently, I'm thinking stuff like FF9, which I know that Mardek has a lot of stuff that is a shoutout to FF games.
Well, I beat challenge 15 with 1 health left. Not sure what the whole fuss was about. I used the Elder Sign whenever I had the chance, and I used all of my healing cards. It was heavily luck based, as is the whole game, but it wasn't a huge problem. Guess I got 'luck'y.
P.S. The Vim skill for the final battle pretty much gives you auto-revive, FROM THE ENEMY - Moric will repeatedly cast Zombify on dead allies, and Vim gives 100 % Zombify resistance, so you get revived with full HP, and no added side effects.
@Phamen Yeah, Emela is actually only really good for earth enemies ( You'll see those the most ), and probably the arena battle ( don't recall that too well ) so you might as well pick up Zach as soon as you can, and make sure you have Mardek and Vehrn use the Vim skill ( or the item, bonestone or something ), for the final battle.
Late-game, the monsters get kind of cheap - Stealing half my mana, having elements that tend to have less-effective abilities, and just having plain damage-dealers. I think the worse I've suffered is the mage birds / mage birds. Another thing that annoyed me was how most battles in the second half of the areas ( So... Jungle and beyond ) would have varying weaknesses/strengths. One battle would have fire, another would have ice, another would have earth. Not a big deal, but when your mage character is getting 2-hit killed, it gets annoying to switch during battles. Good game, but it got frustrating at some points to the point of quitting.
