Great job Ben, though I doubt this is made with the real shootorials because they don't cover the aliens. :P But hey, even if its just modification of the source, you are learning something...unless you already know how to program. Great work.
I don't see how this is a copy of civilization wars. This is like its own sub genre with Civilization wars, Phage wars, nano wars, etc, all in the same category. Its not acceptable to claim this copies a game which is a copy of something else. Judge each independently.
For the developer: I loved the menu! Nice hex cell ideas! 5/5 game.
Some websites like to pop out of this, for example Kongregate and Gmail. I would love a graphics remake, as right now, it looks like some of the symbols look similar to a real browser...
Allow me to jump through platforms! Then improve the graphics! Redo the player and platform completely. Then we might have a pretty good game. Add some powerups in there too, maybe a super jump boost. 4/5.
