Not a bad game at all, though the instructions were rather vague. Definitely use some improvements, like what the time counter, and life counters are, as well as what the clear balls do. 4/5.
The enemies really shouldn't be able to shoot you while they are still off screen. That's really the only complaint I have. Mostly because that's the biggest reason I'd loose health and I couldn't hit them back, at all, until they got on screen and occasionally there would be one that would just keep shooting me from off screen.
A very good game. If you have no concept of stealth you really shouldn't play this game. I had a problem though, sometimes it wouldn't throw dynamite and I'd end up dead or hit because of that.
Slow, repetitive game. Definitely needs more achievements or like lorenweng suggested a kill combo timer like boxhead has. The tiers are cool, but the Vampire gains like a milliliter of health (way too little) for around 5 or 6 kills from what I saw. This seems to be the same amount that an archer does to you if you have Hardback. Also, there seems to be no way to even dodge arrows, so if you didn't pick hardback you're effectively screwed.
Not the best game I've played. However, it's not the worst game I've played either. It's a bit unbalanced, the wolves need to move when they attack, and the guy also needs to move when walking/running. The imbalance is basically with the amount of exp you need to lvl up and the extremely small amount of stat points you get.
Nice game, much too simplistic to get a 5/5 (it's basically just screenshots, a bit of edited text and a bunch of stick figures along with a glowing monkey -- not the hardest graphics to do). I'm giving it a 4/5 though.
@wammyflammy I know that archers are only good for delaying, but they don't do much of anything. They barely delay anything, especially when I have my wall upgraded to the level with the spikes. The spikes hit them, and then the archers miss.
Beat the Ogre General...and it won't let me win! I've killed all the enemies, no more are coming, so...should I restart the level, wait for time to run out, or something?
It's a great game if you know what you're doing, even more so when one actually does the tutorial or reads the instructions in the description (which I doubt some people have done). I personally love the game except for aforementioned problems. I'm giving it a 4/5.
Bah, stupid character limit.
Another problem I have is that the Archers don't really help much, if at all. They only fire right next to the gate and by the time things get there it's the general (which they don't do much, if anything, against). Of course, being able to hire more elf archers would help, but that would be a bit too powerful – they almost always hit whatever they're firing at. The humans archers wouldn't.
Also, as freshadow said (somewhat) it would be nice to be able to fire the catapult somewhat closer. What if you guys died and you can't send/hire anymore?
And while I liked having the ability to customize my army each turn, it got a bit annoying knowing that I'm essentially wasting gold/stone/crystals to get new soldiers each round that just went away at the end of the round/turn. Maybe we can put the ones that survive rounds on reserve or something? They would always be there, but they would cost less and not have a population cost until they are summoned. Something like that.
Also, I agree with "Ohbye" on the ridiculous cost of the mine. The stone needs to go down a bit. Even with the bonus points being spent in the market it's ridiculous. Even moreso when you get such a small amount even when maxed. 100-500 stone, at least, and 20-50 crystals would have been a lot better for the costs you have listed for the mine upgrades.
There are some problems with the game. Every once in a while it'll say you won by "Elimination" when there are a couple (or more) enemies left. This appears the most, for me, when there are traps or enemies are in traps.
Even after upgrading attack, it's still hard to hit things. And you have to choose whether you're going to upgrade dmg and attack and level up armies or if you want more armies.
