Agreed on an option to take out graphical stuff. I also wouldn't mind the option of seeing what requirements I need in order to unlock a badge or prize. I like to know what objectives I have (other than perfecting every level of course). Great game though, probably one of my favourite Picross games yet!
I would consider giving more of a reward on the 'secondary' stages (the ones where you are timed, sudden death allies only, etc), as they are much harder and generally require more money to be invested (through upgrades and runes).
Great game! I love the concept! The only change I wish it had is if there was a way to isolate each dice. So if there was a tab on the side that had all the colours, you could select 'blue' and all the faces that didn't belong to the blue dice would fade.
Still, great game!
It's alright, but way too much chance involved and not enough skill as it were. Also, why can't I get anything for a pair below a jack? It's just too difficult in that way.
This game has a lot of potential, and I know it would be some overhaul to add these in, but I think it could use more upgrades. Upgrades for more ships, higher frequency of different types of ships, faster grabbers, more money, etc. I feel like there's just too much luck to get that first shot right, no matter how much you've upgraded. Perhaps these suggestions are better suited for a sequel? Which I'm sure people would love to see!
Still a great game!
The instructions and the description have literally nothing to do with the game. Plus this style of game is very outdated, and if it is to be done, the acting needs to be much higher quality.
Some updates I would love to see:
1: Levels need to properly end once you've taken over everything, otherwise you can accidentally keep spending units.
2: There needs to be information over the 'units' when you hover your mouse over them; it's easy to forget.
3: There needs to be some explanation of what the upgrades actually do. 4: Also, a 'start' button to each level would be nice, so you have time to scan the layout and decide a strategy.
5: Upgrade prices need to increase per level upgraded. Otherwise, if you're clever, you can get into nearly endless loops of just killing the enemy without actually winning the level, and then just have loads of money to spend.
6: Just a little more explanation would be nice.
Game has some good potential, just these things could make a huge difference.
Thanks for the great points Victor, I'll try to implement them all in any updates or sequels. Constructive criticism is very welcome and I thank you! -Josiah Reffo, Zippygaming.com
It's...alright. Change the title, you're made it 'Sims 3' just to garner plays, which is low. I can't seem to find any negative effect for negative happiness, and I can't really seem to find a way to get more happiness in an efficient way. I don't really know what I'm working towards either. Not a bad alpha or beta, but with some good work it could be a good game.
It's not terrible. But there's not really a storyline, and the movement feels a bit sluggish sometimes, and sometimes it's hard to see the difference between the background and the foreground, due to colouring. Maybe just a bit of refining and it could be a good game.
There's a few bugs, like when you jump into a wall, the games as if you are walking, so you can keep jumping forever until you get out of the wall. I also don't like how the character moves faster than the screen, so you're constantly tapping the back arrow key. And the penalty for hitting fire is really insignificant, as you can get 1000 point in practically a second of gameplay. Overall, the game functions alright, but there's really no hook to the game.
The perception (first person) makes it difficult, but the mechanics as a whole work well. It's also a really large window, which isn't the best for us that have smaller screens.
The ending was just a bit lacking, not much explanation at all. A bit too much up to the gamer's imagination. But I loved the game itself. Definitely a good game.
The fact that IriySoft came out with a level pack means they're still paying attention to this game. Which means that they could still potentially be making a sequel, which would likely include the new towers, skills, etc etc that people are asking about.
Brilliant game though, I usually hate level packs, but this one is pretty good!
tks! Yes i have seen LOTS of good ideas and suggestions in the comments. That's encouraging ;)
