If you gave me this blocks in real life I bet I could disassemble them in 2 minutes or so. But I can't do it in this game. Because even though you can rotate the block, its so hard to "observe" the block due to the lack of a zoom button. Also, as others have pointed out, there are some bugs with this game. I think this game is not good enough for a 5/5, so I gave it 4/5.
An easy way to beat the levels is to "brute force" them. In each level, try to observe which notes target which bars. Then, repeatedly on and off them in any order and eventually you'll manage to win it.
To prevent the game from autosaving when you get owned by hordes, see the number of men you have. If it decreases then refresh immediately. You must not, under any circumstances, exit the game normally or it will save. Just keep doing this and you'll get to preserve your men.
For the reload trick, you don't have to refresh the page. Have a scientist/someone else research something, and keep researching until the horde attacks tonight. Then, to save the game at that point, exit the game, and reload. When you reload just keep trying to tank the horde and you have a 10% success rate. This method is effective because it is dependent on solely one unit, thus making it a win or lose situation without any external factors, while being a surefire method to win the game.
For the long range challenge, use the Ak47 rifle for the 5 far targets and the Mk04 pistol for the near targets. In order to prevent two bullets coming out at once, change the mode from auto to semi by pressing the “f” key. If you don’t miss any targets, you should get somewhere near 62000 score.
