Wait, I just computed that binary in my head just now for the easy badge: I'm pretty sure it comes out to 170. Why not something that comes out even like 1100100, aka 100?
It should automatically equip the items you just bought. I lost count of how many times I bought a new ship or weapon and left the shop screen without first equipping my stuff, then having to suicide to go back and do it.
Fairly good game, nice mechanics and good humor. Levels were not balanced, though, for instance level 22 is outrageously more difficult than levels preceding it, even with all the upgrades maxed for the time being. Also, the music quickly gets repetitive. 4/5.
First of all, when grunt fighters come at you with missiles that home in on your plotted trajectory instead of your current position, hints about movement patterns are a LITTLE outdated. Second, once a ship's health hits zero, it should DIE. Not keep shooting and become invulnerable for ten seconds. And third, grunt class ships do NOT spam mines. That's what every other game in the known universe reserves for the MINE LAYER class.
@JSilvis: If it's any consolation concerning the bonuses, after 15 achievements, which you can get by level 10 if you do it right, you unlock the Black Market shop, where you buy an equip that ups the bonus slots by +4.
