"We should only use the stardust for emergency situations!" *sprays it everywhere* 4/5 game, the only complaint I have is that I couldn't remember which way is which. Didn't see the logic behind it.
SPOILER: Really?! A flag was the first thing I thought of when reading the first 2 clues, but couldn't imagine people necessarily loving or hating a flag to death. Wtf.
Man, how much of a spoiler do you want to make your badge... Speaking of spoilers, SPOILER: How is Bernard gonna impress people by his enemies just forfeiting? Doesn't seem like "impressing" is the game he's trying to play here...
Oh, so the tracks are updated daily after all? Well. The game still frustrates me to no end. It keeps tricking me into thinking it's actually pretty fun, then when I get really into it, I crash because I was going fast enough for it to start lagging. BUT HEY, AT LEAST THE BACKGROUND'S ANIMATED, RIGHT?
I really liked the idea of the simplicity combined with competing on daily updated tracks, and on that base it deserved 4/5. Then came some pretty major flaws: 1) A game this dependent on timing, and NO options to reduce lag? Really? 2) the controls are really... bad choices. You only need to use one button, so why not the space bar or choose-your-own-controls? We're supposed to play until we're satisfied with our place, not until our fingertip gets sore. // So yeah, those were the major flaws. Then I realised the track wasn't even updated daily, and it sank to a solid 2/5. This needs a LOT of work.
What sense does it make to include the instructions on how to restart/undo AFTER the level where you most probably have needed to use those already? Also, the difficulty ramp is ridiculous. Gonna have to give this a 2/5, too many blatant flaws.
Though I was originally thrown back by the purple prose, the game had me immersed towards the end. The pace is wonderful, having me wondering what to do at every change, instead of having all the difficulty focused at one point. The story was brilliantly laid out as well, I couldn't help but care at the end. 5/5, I'm impressed.
Well, I look through a lot of the comments, and it seems there's a lot of people talking about the "beat up ending", but not a single one about getting it. So I think it's a myth, everyone.
This game reminds me of The Enchanted Cave... And I love The Enchanted Cave ;) It could've been a 5/5 game, but sadly, these aspects took it down to a 3/5: The instructions were unclear (had to figure out M=map by myself, is X the same as space? What does upgrading shield-benefits do?), items can be hidden by objects (and not easily picked up), and you can't see whether you've got any more to pick up if your health is full and there's potions, and last, it's fun at first, but gets repetitive towards the end. Oh yeah, the boss tactic (mainly "wait") is pretty annoying/boring.
Wow... The further you get into the game, the more interesting it becomes. The story gets more tense, and you kind of get... Attached to the zombie... I found it a very well-made game, it hit all the notes it meant to. 5/5
I took forever till I understood the mechanics. Wich I guess is in character. Awesome, hilarious game, at every corner I found something new to crack up over. 5/5
Ah, never mind, it's my computer that's malfunctioning, not the game. Please downvote my previous comment, I'll start! (I wish I could delete it instead)
