Sanbox mode has been suggested before, but I'd like to see a way to evaluate the designs w/o upgrades. Maybe even a way to earn exotics for achieves w/o upgrades?
I feel like I wasted a lot of time, til I realized that the fuel does not need to be cooled directly. I know that this is an abstraction, but I was working from a layperson's understanding of a reactor. I have a build with no coolant, no heat inlets, and no exchangers near the fuel. Just fuel cells, reflectors for power generation, surrounded by plating for no particular reason, other than I need the plating for the upgrades and basic heat sink. Have you considered a build where the fuel needs cooled directly?
I encountered the offline bug today for the first time. Last night before logging off I purchased Angelic Selection, also for the first time. Maybe there is a connection. Props again to the dev, this has turned out to be quite an ambitious project for a new coder. I think trying to do all the improvements you are doing without destroying all your players progress is like trying to repair a car that is being driven.
HyperHippo - next small update, consider adding a splash screen to warn players about the data loss bug. Still seeing that comment way too much; I think players just jump in without reading much of the update info.

To anyone new to the game - it's a good idea to create a backup. Export, paste into a text file. It is possible to lose all progress, so save your self the disappointment.

It shouldn't have. Attempts were made to make sure your upgrades transferred over to the new system.
