When this was first released this was great. Now it is so sluggish it is unplayable. What has changed? Either the game or the Unity plug-in, because I have the same computer I had a year ago.
Stop complaining about the wild cards. You are never forced to gamble on the outcome. You can just take the one-card hit and move on. This can be as much of a strategic decision as any other. For example, if you're early in the deck, you probably don't want to risk getting sunset. If you're near the end anyway, sunset isn't a penalty because you'll be able to finish before the sun goes down if you get it, and you might luck out and get the 5 under.
Rank 6 Objectives: "Build a tower to 500 meters without using the letter 's'" So basically, if the game starts with two stems that have 's' in them you have to restart? Or is the goal to climb 500 meters at some point without using 's'?
I would expect this to be rated higher, but I think what is weighing it down are things like the bug that causes you to get stuck (as reported by several people) and the fact that you can beat the final boss, make it to Strix's ship and still not get the badge after spending A LOT of time getting there. >:(
After being frustrated trying to get the HiLo 20x combo, I wrote a program to simulate the game and found that you will only get a combo of 20x or greater about once every 500 games on average. Good luck with that!
With regard to point 2, I meant to say the first point of the next game is *supposed* to begin from the deuce court. In the game, service began from the ad court in some regular (non-tie breaker) games.
Bugs/hlitches I noticed:
1) when playing a tournament, when I advanced to the semi-finals and finals the "vs" screen still showed my quarterfinals opponent.
2) If the last point of a game is won from the deuce court, the first point of the next game still begins from the deuce court, not the ad court.
3) When I played a tie breaker, I was only allowed to serve the very first point. All of the rest of the points were served by my opponent.
4) The dev has a strange concept of what "best of 7" means.
Has anyone gotten the full-screen downloadable version to run? I'm running Windows 7 and there seems to be a compatibility issue that isn't being resolved with the compatibility tools.
